This mini arcade cabinet is packed full of Taito games. I mainly bought one to play Kaiser Knuckle, which had never been released on console before. I ended up enjoying Elevator Action Returns the most though. Whilst the games included are the Japanese versions, Elevator Action Returns and Violence Fight feature English text. |

Playthrough with Kazuya. This is an updated version of Kaiser Knuckle (see below) which was originally intended to be released in arcades, but was cancelled. The game finally got an official release for the Egret II Mini. It's mainly known for having easier CPU opponents, but the truth is, this game is still way too hard. To get the credits you have to beat it on the "professional" setting, which I did. See the description on how to beat the game, there's far too much to list here. |

Playthrough with Edie. Edie's fire bombs are really useful, especially against the flying enemies. She can also fire her gun really fast, her only downside is she's the weakest of the three playable characters. You don't get any health back between stages either, so try to either not get hit or take the time to find health items. The first couple of stages aren't too difficult, stage 3 is where the difficulty increases a bit, stage 4 and onwards is where things get a lot harder. If you enter a blue or red door and then exit, enemies can spawn out of it, so sometimes it's best to wait before entering a door, especially if you need to wait for an elevator or platform to get closer to you. One thing I noticed is that the default lives stock settings for this version are wrong. The default is two here (meaning you get three lives) but in all the other videos I’ve seen for the arcade version of this game, the default is one (meaning two lives). Not that it matters to me since I beat the game without dying once (not trying to toot my own horn, honest). One setting I did change from the default is the violence setting. It’s off by default, turning it on will cause enemy blood to splatter on the walls sometimes. If they get crushed by an elevator a lot of blood will be seen too. |

Playthrough with Wulong. Also known as Global Champion, this game is chiefly remembered for having a secret boss who is the hardest of all time. Just getting him to appear is a challenge, the AI cheats a lot. If you do get to the General, he's practically impossible to beat with most characters -he wasn't tested properly, so he's completely broken. Wulong is the only character who has it somewhat easy, and has a guaranteed strat that works against the General which involves using his dragon punch move. |

Playthrough with Ben Smith. Possibly one of the worst arcade fighting games ever made, Violence Fight is a mostly unplayable nightmare which features terrible hit detection. To beat the game, pick Ben and constantly press the punch and jump buttons together to do his machinegun punch special move. You have to abuse the hit detection yourself to win, which requires you to position Ben in the right place so you can hit the CPU without them being able to counterattack. The only good things about this game are the title and the Engrish, especially "SAMMY YOU!". |
