It was a late and silent night, as Maki made her way to where her tip-off had told her to go. Away from the city, out in the countryside, was a warehouse. Most people might have thought that this was innocent enough but if what Maki had been told was true, it could mean trouble -it could mean that the Mad Gear gang had returned! Ever since she had helped Haggar and Carlos take them down a few years a go, they'd all thought the gang was finished for good and she'd even heard that Haggar had had to fight off another gang in Metro City since then called the Skull Cross gang. If he'd been busy with that, it would have been the perfect time for the Mad Gears to get themselves back together.

Well, if that was the case, they wouldn't be together for very long. Even though she was by herself, Maki had no doubts about her abilities. A master of the Bushin style, she longed to find Guy and challenge him over who was the successor of the style. It wasn't fair, why had Zeku chosed him over her? She was faster, stronger and more focussed than him, but she hand't been chosen and seemed to have been forgotten about entirely.

"Oh well" she thought, as she ran to the side of the warehouse. She pressed her back to one of the walls and saw that the warehouse was actually one of several, all within the same complex. There were several guards around too, which seemed odd for a place like this...but it would make sense if it really was the Mad Gears. She then saw that they were all armed with guns, and given how grouped together they were, there was no way she could take them all on at once, even though she really wanted too. Maybe her doing something like that would get Zeku to realise how powerful she was...but no, she couldn't risk it. Even with her tonfa weapon, she couldn't expect to come away alive from 50 guys with guns.

Instead she needed some evidence she could send to Haggar so he and the entire Metro City police force could come to this place and close it down. She had a USB memory stick on her, so she just needed to find a computer with some files on it which had the plans for what the Mad Gear was up to. She slowly made her way over to the largest warehouse and found a small side door. To her surprise, the door wasn't locked, so she quietly opened it and slipped inside without anyone noticing.

It was dark, with really poor lighthing, inside the warehouse, but that didn't effect Maki. She was a ninja after all so she been taught how to deal with things like this. She went down a couple of corridors, but there seemed to be no office rooms at all and she soon came to a wide open space. There were a lot of boxes around, and she thought that they must have drugs or weapons inside, but before she could investigate further she saw what she was really after...there was a single computer right at the end of the warehouse. She cautiously walked towards it, slightly on edge as there seemed to be no other people around, even though she'd have thought the Mad Gears would have had at least a couple of guys guarding the place inside.

Even more strange, she thought, was the fact that the computer was still on. She turned the screen on and saw that it didn't even have a password, it just let her on without trouble. And after spending half a minute looking around the C drive, she saw what she wanted: it was the Mad Gear gang, and they were planning a massive attack on Metro City! She put down her tonfa, then got the memory stick out and plugged it in and quickly copied the files over to it, but it was going to take 3 minutes. She waited, looking at the screen, but then she sensed something...spinning around, Maki saw that she was no longer alone...there was a great big fat man about 20 feet away, and he was holding some rope.

"Ugh...Hi!" the man said. Maki said nothing, as she could only wonder how someone how fat had managed to get in here without her noticing sooner. Plus he really stank too. "Uhhhh...." he began to speak, but then stopped. Why hadn't he set off an alarm, or at least alerted some other people that she was here? There was no other way out, she'd have to go back the way she came, and there would be no way she could do that if there were several armed guar "Uhh could I tie you up?" the fat blob suddenly spurted out? Was this guy for real? Did he really just say that too her? "I'd just like to use this rope and tied you up with it, and if I could use this" -he produced a hankerchief from his pocked, a very large one, and waved it in front of his face -"to gag you with, that would be great. And if you'd just like to lie down on the floor over there whilst tied, and try and get free whilst making these kind of "mmmmph" or "mmmmmmmmmmmph" noises, that would be really great. OK?"

"Oh, OK" said Maki, smiling. "Why don't you waddle on over here and tied my arms behind my back, and there do my legs." She watched as the man suddenly started to giggle and then started to walk towards her, slowly. She really tried not to laugh out loud, but the way he walked was so horrendous. He raised the rope he had up to his chest and continued his way towards her. Closer. Closer. Closer...he was now right in front of her.
