Belmont's Revenge has a password menu you can access from the title screen. You have the chance to view a password whenever you run out of lives, select "password" at the continue screen to view it. Passwords can be made up from four things:

If you enter a password incorrectly three times in a row, you will be taken back to the game's main menu. Here's a complete list of all the stage passwords:
