Head right and go up the steps. Note the spikes on the ceiling -touching these in anyway will result in an instant death, so be careful. Drop down off the ledge and head right, and watch as the floor starts to rise up! Quickly head right and destroy the pole you come across, doing this will cause the floor to drop back down.



Head right and the floor will start to rise again. Quickly move to where there is a small gap in the ceiling, and get under it. Crouch as the floor rises to its highest point to avoid getting hit, and the floor will then go back down again. Head right and take out the next pole, then keep heading right. There are some very low spikes here, so ignore the candles and quickly head right.



You'll need to crouch under another gap in the ceiling, do this then go right and destroy the next pole you come across. Once it's destroyed, jump up the couple of steps and head right.



You will then have to get over a bottomless pit, by jumping on and off a couple of platforms which will drop when you land on them. Jump from the ledge as late as you can and quickly jump from platform to platform until you reach the ledge on the right. Start making your way up and watch as a wall of spikes appear beneath you. Make your way upwards, jumping from rope to rope to progress.



On some ledges you'll encounter a new enemy: she-worms. These things move from left to right and if hit with a fireball or weak whip, will curl up and spin around from left to right. Take them out as quickly as possible and keep as high up as you can. At one point you'll have to make a series of tough jumps using dropping platforms, don't jump too early as if you hit the ceiling you'll fall to your death. Get across the three platforms and use the two ropes to get higher up, then kill the she-worm that drops down on the right ledge.



When you climb up a long rope on the right side, don't jump too early -if you do you won't make it to the ledge and fall onto the spikes. Get some distance on the rope and then jump, then quickly head left and get to the other rope before the spikes go through the floor. Go up this rope and take out the two she-worms that are waiting. Head up the next few ledges and grab onto the rope you see. Keep moving up.



Ignore the next she-worm you see, instead head up the rope. You will have to jump across the the right, firstly using a couple of thin platforms, then using a couple of falling platforms. Get onto the rope at the right and climb up, then take out the next she-worm you see. Head left and go up the rope. Jump onto the thin platform, then quickly jump across to the right by using the falling platforms you see.



The next few parts of this level are the same kind of thing, involving the use of either thin of falling platforms to get across from the left to right and back again. Don't jump too early but keep moving quickly, as most of the time you've only got one shot to make any of these jumps. Once you see two ropes next to each other on the right, head up and the spikes at the bottom will finally retreat...



...but it's not over yet as a massive wall of spikes will now start to move out from the right wall and head straight towards you! It's now a race to keep ahead of the spikes, so head left and kill the she-worm. This section is a small maze with only one route, but you've got to move through it quickly to avoid having the spikes kill you.



It can be worth ignoring the candles in this section as whipping them wastes time, which can cause trouble due to how fast the spikes move. Keep heading left, killing any she-worms you come across. There is one part where you'll have to get over another bottomless pit by using a few falling platforms and a rope. Get over the pit and quickly get through the small passages.



The next part involves several jumps from rope to rope. You'll have to climb up each rope a bit before jumping, but do it fast as the spike wall will still be chasing after you. There are then some more rope to rope jumps to make, only now you've got some thin platforms to use to get to them.



There are then some more thin platforms to use, only for them to lead to some falling platforms. Quickly jump on and off of these and get to the solid ground to the left. There are a few long passages here, with more she-worms and a few mud men. You'll have to move quickly to get through the passages in time.



At the bottom passage, head left and you'll finally be able to get out of this room. Grab the rope and head up in, don't wait around for too long as the spikes won't stop. Once you're out of this room, keep heading up the rope. You'll enter another room, jump off the rope and then drop off the ledge.



Head right to enter the boss arena. Collect the crystal to make the boss appear: Death Bat. Death Bat can fly and will remain out of your reach for a few seconds, before diving down. Stay away from him when he's in the air and let him dive, once he's landed he'll march around for a few steps, so move in and attack him.



Once he's taken a few hits he'll resume flying. Sometimes he'll wait on the platform in the top left corner of the arena, so all you can do is wait. He will usually hover for a few seconds before diving, so be sure to move away when he does this. Keep hitting him whenever he lands on your level and he'll explode into nothing upon his defeat.
