Head right and whip the candles you see to get the whip powered up. The first enemies you'll encounter are several mud men, who drop from the sky and then change to their humanoid forms. They will lurch towards you so whip them to destroy them. Keep heading right, at the first ledge you come across you'll find a goblin. These prowl around and it attacked with a non-powered up whip, they'll jump high into the air. Kill the goblin and head right.

Go up the next few ledges, and kill the goblins and mud men you come across. At the end you'll come across a rope, jump onto it and climb up. In the next room, jump off the rope and head left, jumping up the ledges and taking out the big eyes that will keep coming. These giant eyeballs will roll across the ground, either kill them or jump over them.

Keep going left and collect the cross item before jumping on the rope to the left. Head up the rope, then jump off and head right. Kill the goblin you come across, and then get ready to fight a new enemy: ravens. These birds dive past you then turn around and try to ram you, so let them pass then be ready to whip them as they come back.

This section has several ravens to kill along with another goblin, destroy them all and then jump on the rope at the far right. Head up this to enter a small room with lots of big eyes in it. The first candle in this room has a cross in it, collect this to make things a lot easier. Head left up the ledges, then get on the rope in the upper left and head up it.

In the next room there are more big eyes to deal with, if you still have the invincibility from the previous room quickly get through this one, otherwise you can collect another cross from one of the candles here. Go up the rope at the fight to enter another room with a single goblin in it, kill it and then jump onto the rope at the left and head up.

Once you've climbed up this rope, jump off and fall off the ledge. In this section there are several mud men and ravens to take out, once you've gotten past them, jump up the few ledges at the right.

Once you are on the last ledge, you will need to quickly jump across some small platforms, which will fall down when you land of them. Head across to the right and you'll find some other platforms, but these won't fall down. Once you're back on solid ground, drop down and whip the candles you see to get some items.

However to progress here you will need to jump across the numerous tiny platforms. Watch out for the vampire bats who patrol this area, be sure to kill any you see as they'll just get in your way otherwise. Jump as late as possible from platform to platform. Near the end you'll have to use some more platforms which fall when you land on them, so you'll need to move quickly.

Head right and drop down off the ledge. Continue right to enter a small arena, whip the lone candle here and collect the crystal to make this stage's boss appear: Gobanz. A large, armored warrior, Gobanz has a retractable hook weapon to fight with. He will slowly make his way towards you, if you touch him it will damage you.

Gobanz's main attack is to use his hook. This has a limited range, but he can fire it diagonally downwards or upwards depending on where you are. The strategy is to let him attack, then move in, get in a few hits, then get out before he attacks again. If you are in danger of getting trapped in a corner, use the platforms to evade Gobanz and then drop down behind him. Once he's taken one last hit, he'll explode.
