There are two scripts available for this episode, and they can both be read at the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive. The original script was written by Douglas Booth on 6/15/84. There is then also a revised script, with dialogue updates from Ron Friedman which was done on 6/26/84.
The majority of the changes made for the revised script are what were used in the episode, but some lines were further altered.
The first page of the revised script has this rather large note that points out that Billy has been renamed Chip. The original script always refers to him as Billy, whilst the revised one has most cases of "Billy" crossed out and replaced with "Chip".

Starscream doesn't laugh before saying the revised line.
The first act ends slightly different to what was scripted. The script states to only show Skywarp, Reflector and Starscream -it seems the animators caught on to the fact that Reflector shouldn't be there, as they put Soundwave in instead (Ravage was also added, although that's ok as he did get sent out by Soundwave seconds before). Starscream's line was crossed out on the revised script and replaced with nothing.
What happens next in the episode is that Starscream yells "FIRE!" as he and the others attack. Prowl is shown getting hit, and Ravage is shown being pounced on by Ravage. These things are in the script, but they don't happen until early on into the second act.
Megatron isn't shown pointing, and his line here was cut.

This line was crossed out on the revised script, and isn't heard in the finished episode. It's another instance of the original script referring to Megatron's "transform gun", which I presume just means his gun alternate mode, rather than a special weapon.

The script wanted the Decepticons to be loading Thundercracker up with energon cubes, but the animation shows Starscream. The script also asked for Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker to be in jet mode, and whilst Starscream and Skywarp are, as the camera pans right, Thundercracker is in robot mode... standing next to another Starscream.

The script mentions Sideswipe and Sunstreaker should activate their jet packs, but the animation doesn't show them doing anything special. It has been shown before that Sideswipe has a jet pack, but this is the first time it has been mentioned that Sunstreaker also has one.

Starscream's initial blast was meant to blow away part of the Autobot's volcano HQ and cause a landslide, but the animation doesn't show this -the blast hits in front of Hound and Jazz, which knocks them back and Hound ends up being buried.
