Annet arrives at the Empire State Building. This level isn't very hard in terms of traps -but the major problem here is the sheer amount of bats that will appear. They'll never stop coming at you, so my advice is to constantly use the arrow spell to protect yourself. Don't try and run away from the bats, as more and more will keep coming onto the screen until you kill some of them. Move right, then head down some steps and go to the far left. You'll see a new enemy here, a snake-man who is armed with a spear. Try using the explosion spell against them as they take a long time to kill with boomerangs.

Once you get far enough left, drop down and you'll see a switch in the bottom left corner. You can flip these by moving into them, and they will open up locked doors that are nearby. Once you've used the first switch move right and jump up to find another that you'll have to use. Then head right and jump up a few platforms to find an open door.

When the next part starts, jump all the way up, then drop back down. Have the arrow spell activated as you fall as a lot of bats will have spawned. Head left and you'll see an elevator platform near some spikes, go onto it and press up to go up. Stop at the first floor you get to and head right, you'll need to kill several enemies here to get to a switch. Once you've used this switch, head back to the elevator and go up to the next floor, then go right. You'll find another elevator platform here.

For this elevator, you'll want to go as high up as you can, don't stop at the first floor it take you to as it's a dead end. Once you've got as far as you can go, head left, take out the few bats here and you'll find a third elevator platform. This will take you up one more floor, once you've arrived head right and take out the enemies. You'll see some steps, go up these and then jump left. Head left and go to the open door.

When the next part starts, go right and use the elevator platform. Go to the first floor and use the switch, then go the second floor and use the switch there. Once you've done that, go back down a floor and flip the switch again, then get back on the elevator platform and head up Go left to find yet another elevator platform. Take it up as high as it will go and then head right.

Once you've gotten far enough right, jump up and go left to find another open door. Go into this and then when the next part starts, you'll need to go up the way up. There are several elevator platforms you'll have to use to work your way up, needless to say the biggest problem with this part is the bats, so keep using the arrow spell over and over again. And stay away from the left of the screen -there is a long drop there which, if you aren't careful, can take you back several screens, and you'll have to work your way back up.

There are several elevator platforms here in sets of two, use them to keep moving up. Eventually you'll see an elevator platform on the far right, use this to go up one more floor and head through the open door.

When the next part starts, use the elevators you see to move up a couple of floors and head left -you'll come across a medicine jar I highly suggest you collect. Once you've got that, head back down one floor and go across to the far right, taking the elevator platform up as high as it will go. You'll come across a small room with several switches in it.

You'll need to flip the switches in a certain order (which isn't very difficult to figure out) to unlock the top wall. Once you've gotten out of this room, jump up and you'll see a few small platforms. Use these to move across to the left, as far as you can go. Once you are at the very end you will have to land on a small ledge. Once you land on this, jump up to enter Hastur's shrine.

When you enter the shrine, Restiana will be be brought into the room, where she is then sacrificed to summon an evil God: Hastur! Hastur has one weak point: the head. This can be difficult to hit as it moves around so much, and then you will also have to do a lot of jumping around. Hastur will throw out lots of fireballs, many of which will try and home in on you, and are quite fast moving.

There's no point being defensive in this battle -attack as much as possible as it's next to impossible to avoid all of Hastur's attacks. You can try using the explosion spell if you're a good shot, otherwise try repeatedly using the arrow spell along with throwing out boomerangs. Hastur will sometimes move his head under the floor, if this happens, try using the water current spell as this can damage him whilst he's hiding. Keep using spells until Hastur explodes.
