You'll start the level on a platform, drop down and run to the right to find a choice of route. You can go straight through a passage, or you can use a trampoline to head up. If you do go up, you'll encounter these strange totem poles which shoot fireballs at you. You can destroy these by attack the top of them.
The main reason to take the higher route is because you'll find two crystals up there. Collect these and it will give Annet's boomerangs a temporary power-up where they'll home in on enemies. Once you've destroyed the poles or gone through the passage, you'll see a platform on a rail. Jump on this and it'll automatically start moving, taking you over a spike pit. Jump off it when you see a ledge and head right to see some strange floating objects. Throw boomerangs at these and they'll open up...
...making platforms for you that happen to be over a large spike pit. Either carefully run across these platforms, or jump across them, to reach another ledge. The next thing you'll see are a few platforms across another pit of spikes, but the moment you step on these logs, they'll break, so run and jump across them quickly. Once you've passed over this pit, drop down to see some more fireball spitting enemies. Take these all out to progress.
When you can move on, use the trampoline to leap up to a pit full of logs. Run across these or use boomerangs to destroy them, there are two medicine jars hidden in them. Once you've reached the bottom, run to the right to move to the next part of the level.
When the next part starts, you'll see a lot of logs over the top of a bed of spikes. You'll have to use the dash here to run over the logs without dropping down into the spikes. Once you've cleared this you'll see a rail platform, use it to move up. You can jump to the right here, but you'll also see another rail platform. This is optional, but if you jump on this platform it will take you to another boomerang item you can collect, meaning you can now throw three out rather than just two. The platform moves quickly and you'll have to be careful -if you fall down you'll hit a load of spikes. Once you've got the boomerang, the platform will take you back over to the right.
Drop down and you'll see a spinning platform. The idea here is to jump across the four spinning platforms here, but the speed that each platform spins at gets faster and faster. These platforms are avoid a pit, but oddly if you fall in it, you'll magically be transported to the passage entrance in front of the first platform. Once you've made it across here you'll be at the trickiest part of the level. There are a few log platforms you need to jump across, but each platform gets smaller and smaller, and the game's controls tend to get a bit unresponsive here.
You'll most likely end up falling down at some point, where there are yet more spikes. Try jumping across as much as possible, and watch our for the boulders -you can run on these by jumping on top of them and holding the opposite direction to which way they're rolling -but they'll get in your way if you don't avoid them. If you ended up in the pit, you'll eventually see some ledges you can jump up, where you'll be able to enter a passageway. Go through it to encounter the boss: Restiana!
As soon as the battle begins, drop down off the ledge and start destroying as many logs as you can to clear up some space. Restiana has two different attacks. The first is a forcefield which protects her from harm, once she has this charged up she'll throw it out as a projectile at you. This can pin Annet against a wall and do a lot of damage, so avoid it. Her other attack is a double fireball blast, which is much easier to avoid then the other projectile. Both of Restiana's attacks can destroy any logs that get in the way. Make sure to destroy the logs, as there are a couple of medicine jars hidden in them if you need some HP.
Note that merely touching Restiana will damage Annet, so stay away from her. After Restiana has thrown out one of her projectiles, she'll leap over from one side of the screen to the other. So as she lands, keep attacking her with boomerangs, then be reading to jump over whatever projectile she uses, then jump again to get out of the way when she somersaults. Once she's has been defeated she'll be carried away to safety, but Annet catches up with her:
NOTES
The cutscene briefly features the Mount Rushmore National Monument, something that in real-life had begun construction in 1927. It wasn't finished until 1941, so I doubt it would have looked anywhere near as complete as it does in the game (which takes place in 1928). The game version of the monument features faces which look nothing like the Presidents, although one of the faces looks a little like Donald Trump to me. And then there's the random Easter Island head on it.
