Annet has brutally beaten Zigfried, leaving him in a bloody mess. He says that this is what he expected of such a magnificent power, but then dies from his injuries. Annet sheds a tear for him and can only ask why, but she then hears a voice asking her why she is so concerned.

Richtenreich appears via video call and asks her if she is concerned because she just killed a friend, or is it because she doesn't know where the Princess is? Annet asks him who he is, but he reveals that he isn't actually Richtenreich -it's Zigfried in disguise! He changes to his usual self, much to Annet's surprise.

He tells her not to waste time asking him if he's the "real" Zigfried. He says the one she called Zigfried Munnhausen is dead, he is all that remains now. She, of all people, must understand this? He then reveals that the Princess is safe here with him, but before he can go on, the room Annet is in starts to shake. He realizes it's already begun, which is too bad, as he was going to personally tell her how to initiate the train's self-destruct. Zigfried disconnects and Annet escapes outside. She's distraught as she thinks Earnest hasn't made it out, and cries out his name. But Earnest calls out to her and says that Kirke saved him, and his troops have already invaded the enemy base. Annet calls him an idiot for scaring her.

The next day Annet, Earnest and Kirke head towards the main headquarters of the Nexuses army, although Earnest complains that Kirke's driving isn't letting him take it easy. Kirke says they've got to hurry as he's concerned about the Princess. Earnest wonders what Zigfried even is now, and Annet doesn't know if he was the person she knew... or even if the human Zigfried, as they knew him, ever really existed. Kirke asks if she's saying Zigfried is something not human. Earnest says they'll find out the truth soon enough, once they reach the Nexuses headquarters. The trio soon arrive there.

This level sees the return of the small robots (although their attacks will no longer set you on fire, for some reason) and the robots who like to spin around to move. It also introduces a dangerous new enemy: a green knight who's attacks can dish out quite a bit of damage. The first one of these you'll encounter also has some more robots near it, so stock up on a powerful magic attack to take them all down at once. There are also several statues throughout this stage, so make sure to smash then open if you need any health items.

Towards the end of the level you'll have to fight several of the smaller robots, remember that you can easily manipulate them into firing at you when you're nowhere near them just by standing in their line of sight. There is also one more green knight to deal with.

Once the knight is dead, the boss will appear, which is some kind of brain in a mech suit. This mecha is capable of flight, which is actually your best chance to hit it -use the cyclone blade as much as possible. If the boss lands, it'll dash in a straight line towards you and then back again. Annoyingly you can't hit the boss at all when it does this, so just stay back and be patient. It's best to wait for the boss to start flying again.

Unfortunately because this boss likes to mess around, it can take a long, long time for it to start flying. There isn't a time limit, thankfully, but sometimes this boss just seems to want to dash all of the time rather than fly. Remember that the boss will never move off the line in the middle of the carpet. If you get bored you can risk waiting for the boss getting back to the right side of the screen and then getting a couple of sword attacks in, but just bear in mind that if the boss uses its dash attack it takes off quite a bit of health. Beat this boss and the glass panel on it will crack open, letting its brain burst out and die.

NOTES

The green knights are one of the few enemy types to have a unique death animation -most enemies just flash and then disappear, but a green knight will collapse into parts (suggesting that they're robots, rather than a guy inside some armor) and the pile of parts is left with their sword placed through them.

The little robots in this level don't set Annet on fire when they attack her, whilst in the third level, they do.

This is also the other level where you can do a glitch that adds millions of points to your score in an instant, see this page for more info.
