Annet and Earnest have arrived back at the train, but come across armed guards. Earnest tells Annet she's got to find Zigfried, whilst he holds off these soldiers. She must remember what she saw on the train, if they let them get away with this, it's game over for humanity. If she has to, she must use her power and destroy this train. Annet says that if she destroys this train, what'll happen to him?

He tells her to forget about him and to hurry. Annet runs off and enters a dark room, where Zigfried is waiting for her. He welcomes her, but she wants to know where the Princess is. Zigfried ignores this question, and instead asks her what she thinks of this reunion between old friends.

The lights go on, and Annet is shocked to see the remains of Restiana! Restiana was the young girl who was sacrificed to summon Hastur, who Annet defeated three years a go. Annet gets angry and asks what's going on, but Zigfried says they'll have a little test first, to see how serious she really is...

This level is a boss only battle, where you have to take on Zigfried himself. As soon as the fight starts you'll take some damage, so quickly move out of the way after you get hit. Zigfried has got several attacks, but none of them are that powerful. He can dash all over the screen, but you'll know when he's doing to do this as he'll head to one corner and take a couple of seconds before making a move, so you can quickly rush in and hit him. He's also got a jump kick.

He also has an air fireball, which isn't very effective because it has a limited range. His other attack is a dashing uppercut, which he rarely seems to ever used compared to any of his other attacks. It's also possible to grab him, it can be difficult due to him moving around a lot of the time, but it is possible to knee or throw him if you get lucky. But dash kicks and cyclone blades are the way to go if you want to take out Zigfried easily.

NOTES

When the fight starts, Zigfried will immediately do a jump kick. The problem is that you can't move straight away, so it seems you'll always get hit by this no matter what!

Restiana is not mentioned again after being seen here, so it's not exactly clear on why Zigfried has her. Perhaps he used her remains to start off his bio-weapons development. The next cutscene has everything blow up, so her remains were most likely destroyed.
