Virgilis thinks it's impossible Annet made it this far, so decides to have his soldiers shoot her instead. The soldiers take aim as Annet realizes this could be it for her. But then suddenly a small canister lands at her feet, which deploys smoke everywhere.

The troops open fire for several seconds. But when the smoke clears, Annet's body is nowhere to be found. Virgilis tells his men to find Annet immediately.

Kirke is the one who saved Annet. She says he's saved her and thanks him for it, but also asks why did he do it? Kirke explains not everyone in the army agrees with what Virgilis is doing. He also managed to take the pendant back from the fake Princess Aisha, and he returns this to Annet. Annet puts it back on and thanks him again.

Annet is worried about Earnest, but Kirke tell her it's OK, as some of his soldiers are keeping him safe. They then hear some enemy soldiers in the distance, so Kirke tells Annet to hurry and get going. Annet runs off into a forest.

The start of this level brings two new enemies. The first of these is a small robot armed with some kind of flame thrower (despite producing what appears to be smoke, it'll set Annet on fire). These robots don't have much health and can be easily manipulated -if you stay in their line of sight, they'll use their attack even if you're nowhere near them, and the smoke has a really limited range. The other new enemy is a much bigger problem: it's another robot, only this one is a pain to fight as it'll usually be spinning around, and will knock you down if you touch it. Its other attacks involve it shooting lasers at you, and extending one of its arms slowly. When it does the arm move, quickly rush in and grab it so you can do a throw. If you need some health items, smash open the statues dotted around the level.

There is a particularly bad section where four or so of the smaller robots will need to be beaten before you can progress, I'd advise using a magic attack to take them all out quickly. Keep moving along and you'll be back in the forest, where more robots await. Try and take out the smaller ones first, as it makes it easier to deal with the larger ones.

Again, there are a few more statues to break open before the boss, so destroy them if you need some health. Before the boss appears there are a few more enemies to take out, including one of those spin kick robots. Beat them and the level's boss will show up.

This boss is the easiest in the game, mainly because he only has one attack. He'll twirl his club above his head and then slam the ground with it, which does a lot of damage if it hits you, but as it takes him so long to do the move it's really easy to avoid. If you knock the boss down once, time it so that as he gets up you are doing a jump kick, that way you'll knock him down again. Then just repeat this until he's beaten.

NOTES

Annet is seen running into a forest, but when the level starts, she quite clearly isn't in a forest, instead, she seems to be in some ancient ruins, or something. The level eventually goes back to being in a forest, though.

This is one of two levels to feature a glitch where you can add millions of points to your score in an instant -see this page for more info.

The laggiest part of the game happens in this level. When several of the smaller robots appear (along with one larger one), the game will slow right down until you defeat a few of them.

The boss of this level only has one attack. I presume that when he spins his club above his head, it was meant to be an anti-air move that would hurt Annet, but it doesn't. So you can just trap the boss in the corner and spam jump kicks for an easy win.
