May 30th, 1995

-The intro sequence isn't present, instead you get a CPU vs. CPU demo fight, whilst the intro music plays.

-The main menu only has arcade and vs modes available.

-Every stage in the game plays Jacky's theme.

-Opponents don't have their default colors, instead using colors they would usually use in the final version's tournament mode.

-You cannot skip replays or win poses.

-Replays are glitchy, with the life bars showing up under the arena.

-No sound effects are played during replays.

-There is no crowd cheering noise for when a character throws their opponent.

-If you fight Dural, you only have to win two rounds.

-After beating Dural, the game will reset.

-If you lose in arcade mode, there is no continue option, and the game will reset.

-Dural uses some of Akira's voice clips.

June 15th, 1995

-The intro sequence is now in place, however a few characters aren't wearing their default colors.

-The main menu has been updated and now has the tournament mode, ranking mode and options menu added.

-The options menu has a lot of the options set to their first settings, such as the life gauges being on smallest. However changing the options doesn't seem to work properly at this point.

-There is a replay option that lets you select between watching the finishing move or the full match (the latter doesn't work though).

-The pad control refers to the block button as the "guard" button.

-The sound test option features some tracks that won't play (such as the continue music).

-Some more music has been added. Sarah, Kage, Pai and Akira now have their own themes. However Jeffry and Wolf still have Jacky's theme, whilst Lau strangely has Sarah's theme.

-If playing in tournament mode, there is no music during the character select screen.

-The tournament mode's character select screen has a odd color select option.

-Tournament mode doesn't seem to work properly. You can select characters, but once the tournament starts, there are no actual fights. The game seems to pick random winners for each round without any fighting taking place.

-Ranking mode isn't working yet either. Selecting it takes you to a ranking screen, which is all in Japanese.

-If you fight Dural in arcade mode, you now have to win three rounds.

-You can now skip replays and win poses by pressing B.

June 30th, 1995

-The intro sequence has been updated, as characters now have their default colors.

-Options in the options menu now actually work. However the option to watch a full match during the replay still doesn't work.

-More music has been added, such as Lau, Wolf and Jeffry now having their own themes.

-A continue option has been added to arcade mode, but the game cuts to a black screen featuring tiny white text.

-Ranking mode now works, but the ranking screens are in Japanese.

-Tournament mode's character select has been updated, with a better color select.

-Tournament mode now works, and you can have fights in it.

-You can now skip replays and win poses by pressing B or start.

-Dural now has unique sound effects when hit by certain moves, and no longer uses Akira's voice.

-Beating arcade mode has the game go to a black screen with the word "ENDING" on it, whilst the credits theme plays. Once the music ends, the game will reset.

July 17th, 1995

-The AM2 palm tree logo has been added, it appears after the SEGA logo.

-The title screen's copyright info has been updated.

-The camera modes in the option menu have had their names changed.

-The control options have been updated, with guard becoming "defense".

-More music has been added, which is used in ranking mode.

-The replay option has been removed.

-The ranking screens in ranking mode are now in English.

-The continue screen no longer goes to a black screen, and uses the same font as the round message.

-The credits sequence is now in place for beating arcade mode.

-Cheats now work, such as the one that makes Dural playable.

-Selecting tournament mode makes the game freeze!

Other prototypes

There are also prototypes available for the 21st, 24th, 25th and 26th of July. I haven't gone into these fully, but they don't seem to have any big differences from the final version. The July 21st proto's tournament mode doesn't work, but the 24th and onwards protos have it working again, and it now has the same color select that the final version has.
