Souther tells Kenshiro that the score between Nanto and Hokuto will be settled here today. As he removes his cape and makes his way up the pyramid, one of his troops takes aim at Ken and says he is going to help the Holy Emperor out. Before he can fire though he is killed when a spear hits his back. Souther's troops turn around and find out that someone else is here.



Raoh, Toki and the others have arrived. Raoh says that nobody will interupt this fight. Souther sees that the other two Hokuto Shinken masters are here but he isn't worried, he is glad they are here for when Kenshiro dies.



Souther goes forward with a series of rapid strikes, but Ken hits him first by using one of Shuu's Nanto Hakurou Ken moves. As Souther gets up, Ken tells him that he wanted Souther to taste Shuu's style for once. But in the end, it will be his Hokuto Shinken that takes him down. Souther laughs at his, saying that Hokuto Shinken is on a lower level than the style he uses. He tells Ken to try again, so Ken kicks him once...



...and then kicks him a lot. But these attacks don't effect Souther at all. He says that Hokuto Shinken has no effect on him at all, and that even if Ken manages to draw blood from his body, it won't stop him. He then jumps forward, so Ken stabs into his chest. Souther laughs and just tells him that it won't work.



Ken lifts Souther above his head and can feel his pulse...something is wrong! Souther then slices into his back and sends Ken tumbling down the steps of the pyramid.



Souther watches Ken get back up and tells him he is stupid for doing so. He will send him to his grave in front of Raoh and Toki, but before he can make an attack his forehead errupts with blood. Ken rips his shirt and says that he has discovered Souther's secret! Souther says he is talking nonsense, but suddenly screams in pain as his right arm buldges up, destroying his own shirt in the process.



As Ken walks up the steps, he says that Souther's heart is on the opposite side it should be. So that means that all of his pressure points are reversed. Now that he knows Souther's secret, defeating him will be easy. Souther says he really is a master of Hokuto Shinken to have figured that out, but it still won't be enough. He leaps back to the top of the pyramid and goes into a stance.


NANTO HO'OH KEN OUGI: TENSHO JUUJI-HO

(South Star Phoenix Fist Secret Technique: Heaven Soaring Cross-Phoenix)



Ken notes that Souther has gone into a stance, when Nanto Ho'oh Ken is not meant to have one. Souther explains that when an opponent of equal power appears, that rule is discarded. Ken says he will counter that with a stance of his own.


HOKUTO SHINKEN OUGI: TENHA NO KAMAE

(North Star Divine Fist Secret Technique: Heaven Breaking Stance)



Toki says that this battle now comes down to personal skill. Raoh comments that the heavens are agiatated, as it has begun to hail.



Souther leaps forward as Ken does the same. Ken tries to punch him in the head, but his strike goes right through him! As Ken lands his shoulders erupt in blood. Souther's technique lets him move in such a way he can hit opponents without them being able to hit him back.



The two clash again, with Kenshiro this time using a rapid series of punches, but again these fail to hit Souther and he gets hit instead. Souther says that there is only one command star, and that is himself. There is no need for two command stars and that this is the end for Kenshiro. He leaps at Ken to finish him off, but...


HOKUTO SHINKEN OUGI: TENHA KASSATSU

(North Star Divine Fist Secret Technique: Heaven's Impalement)



This move is what finally gets Souther, causing seven points on his back to explode. Ken says that the tenha kassatsu allows the user to contact the pressure points of an opponent without them having to physically touch them.



Souther's entire body bulges, and with his veins fully on show, Kenshiro can easily pick out where his reversed pressure points are. But Souther says he is the most powerful man of Nanto, and he manages to control his body. He says his Nanto Ho'oh Ken is the ultimate style and attempts to jump at Kenshiro again, only to realise that he no longer has control of his legs! Ken says he won't be able to fly any more.


SHIKANU!

KOBINU!

(I won't stop!)


KAERIMINU!

(I'll never surrender!)



Souther says he is still the Holy Emperor, and flips forward to use his arms to propel his body into the air. He heads towards Kenshiro again, but before he can do anything he gets hit with many punches and then one more attack finishes the fight.


HOKUTO UJOU MOSHO HA

(North Star Humane Fierce Flying Rip)



Souther knows he has lost, but doesn't understand why Kenshiro used the move he just did to him. Did he want to show him compassion? But he then says he will not be defeated by Hokuto Shinken and raises his own hand up into the air, before stabbing himself in the chest. He weakly says that only pain comes from love, which was why he got rid of all of his emotions a long time a go.



He says he was glad Kenshiro was his final opponent, and then dies. Ken says nothing but turns around and proceeds back down the pyramid. He reaches the bottom where Souther's remaining forces are about to fight him, but they then see the kids running around Ken to protect him. Realising there is no point, they drop their weapons.



As this happens, everyone sees that the top pf the pyramid has started to bleed -it is Shuu's blood! The whole pyramid begins to fall apart. Toki tells Raoh that one of his most dangerous enemies is gone and that he is left to rule the heavens now. But he will not be able to control anyone through fear. Raoh says that it doesn't matter for the moment -what has happened here today has made him realise that he must defeat both Toki and Kenshiro before he does anything else. He then turns around and leaves.



The next morning, Bat returns to his village, but he has only gone there to say goodbye. Kenshiro and Lin have already left, and he has to go with them. Toyo tries to be nice to him, but Bat starts complaining, so they both go back to their usual ways of disliking each other.



Bat starts to leave, but as he does Toyo tells him to take these with him: a bag full of potatoes. At first he doesn't want them, but after all the other kids encourage him to have them he thanks them all and calls Toyo his mother. The two hug before Bat finally leaves.



Reina wakes up in Toki's village. She finds out from Toki that Raoh was the one who treated her wounds and that Souther has died. She then finds out from Lin that Raoh wants her to go back to the Land of Shura. Toki says that Raoh has finally found the path of rightenous, but she says he had already found that long a go. He has a warmer heart than anyone else.



She thinks back to when they were young. The Land of Shura has been devastated in wars and Raoh tells Souga that he, Toki and Kenshiro are being sent away to Master Ryuken, to learn Hokuto Shinken. Souga thinks that is great for them, as it means they will get to leave this ruined country. Raoh says that he will become stronger than anyone.



Reina starts to cry as she doesn't want them to go, but Raoh tells her not to worry. Once he has become powerful, he will return here and restore Shura to it's former glory. He gives her a pendant and promises that he will return one day.



Back in the present, Lin gives Reina her pendant back and says Raoh said to tell her she must never lose it. Reina begins to cry. Meanwhile, Kenshiro looks out...



...and sees Raoh and his troops heading back to his palace. As Kenshiro looks on, he knows that his greatest fight has yet to come.
