Cody realized that he wasn't a true hero, and had been beating up Mad Gear members simply because he enjoyed fighting. However, after saving Jessica, he continued to fight and eventually was arrested by Edi. E. One day, there was a prison break and Cody wanders outside. He decides to start fighting people again.

Cody has changed quite a bit since Final Fight. He has quite a few new moves, although his cyclone kick can still be seen as part of his eead end irony super combo. He can, however still pick up and use knives (there is always a knife on any stage Cody is fighting on). His X-ISM super is the final destruction.



BAD STONE
(QCF+P)

Cody will pick up some stones and throw them at the opponent. If you hold down the punch button, Cody will throw the stones up and down before throwing them, resulting in more damage.


CRIMINAL UPPERCUT
(QCB+P)

Cody will do a hurricane uppercut. This move should be used when close to the opponent, and it can hit them multiple times.


RUFFIAN KICK
(QCF+K)

This move looks different depending on which kick button you press. Short kick is a sweep, forward kick is a middle kick, and roundhouse kick is a high kick.


KNIFE PICK UP
(DOWN+PPP)

Whilst standing over the knife, hold down and press all 3 punch buttons at once. Cody will duck down and pick up the knife.


KNIFE THROW
(QCF+P)

Cody will throw the knife at the opponent. Obviously, you have to be holding the knife to do this move.


SUPER COMBO: FINAL DESTRUCTION
(QCF, QCF+P)

Cody will launch forward, if he hits the opponent, he will do a combo of punches on them. This is Cody's X-ISM super combo, although it is completely different in that ISM -Cody will suddenly change to be more like his Final Fight self, so if you get close to the opponent and keep pressing punch buttons, he'll do his Final Fight combo on them. This mode of Cody's does not last long, however.


SUPER COMBO: DEAD IRONY
(QCF, QCF+K)

This super is a combo of kick moves, on the higher super combo levels Cody will also finish the opponent off with a cyclone kick.



Having defeated Zeku, Guy is now the current master of the Bushin style. Before Zeku went away, he left Guy with some words..."When a threat to the world arises, so will the shadow of Bushin". Guy understands that he must set out to destroy this great evil, and finds out that a man called Bison is the source.

Guy hasn't really changed much in terms of special and super moves. The new super combo he gained in Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold is also present here, which is also his X-ISM super combo.



BUSHIN WHIRLWIND KICK
(QCB+K)

Guy's classic special move from Final Fight, only this time it doesn't take any of his health away if he hits someone with it. It can also do multiple hits.


RUN
(QCF+K, SK)

Guy will start to run. If you press the short kick button again, he will stop.


KAGE SUKUI
(QCF+FK, FK)

Guy will run, then after you press the forward kick button again he will then do a sliding kick.


KUBIKARI
(QCF+RK, RK)

Guy will run, then when you press the roundhouse kick button he'll then do a flying kick.


ELBOW DROP
(QCF+P, P)

When you do the first part of the motion, Guy will do a jumping roll toward the opponent. Press any punch button again to make Guy do an elbow drop.


BUSHIN INZUNA DROP
(QCF+P, F+P)

When you do the first part of the motion, Guy will leap forward. When he gets close to the opponent, hold forward and then press any punch button again. Guy will grab the opponent and slam them into the ground (Guy cannot grab ducking opponents with this move).


HOZANTO
(QCB+P)

A turnaround smash attack which is extremely quick.


SUPER COMBO: BUSHIN HASSOKEN
(QCF, QCF+K)

This super is a combo of different punches followed up with a kick.


SUPER COMBO: BUSHIN GORAIKYAKU
(QCF, QCF+P)

This is a useful super to do when an opponent jumps at you. Guy will leap forward and start a aerial combo which takes the opponent upward, and the last hit is always a kick which sends the opponent back to earth.


SUPER COMBO: BUSHIN MUSOURENKA
(HCB, HCB+P)

You must be close to the opponent for this move to connect. Guy will grab the opponent and then do a big combo of hits whilst the screen flashes, resulting in major damage to the opponent. In A-ISM mode, you can only do this super when the super bar is at level 3.



Rolento's invasion of Metro City ended in failure, and his tanks were destroyed. Hearing of the new Psycho Drive and Shadoloo's huge array of weapons, he decides to try and steal armaments from there. Weapons alone aren't enough, so Rolento also goes out trying to find recruits for his military nation, and hears of what has happened to Cody. Thinking that now may be the perfect time to ask Cody to join him, he goes out looking for Metro City's former hero.

Rolento hasn't changed much, but his patriot circle move has new animations, and he also has one new super combo. His X-ISM super is his takes no prisoners.



PATRIOT CIRCLE
(QCF+P, up to 3 times)

Using his stick, Rolento will spin it around to hit the opponent. You can do this move 3 times in a row to do more hits.


MEKONG DELTA ESCAPE
(QCF+K, K or P)

When you do the motion, Rolento will leap back and do an off the wall jump. When he jumps off the wall he'll aim straight for the opponent, so press any punch or kick button to do an attack.


MEKONG DELTA ATTACK
(PPP, P)

Press all three punch buttons together. This makes Rolento leap back. Then press any punch button to make him do a rolling attack.


MEKONG DELTA AIR-RAID
(QCB+P, P)

Rolento will roll back, then when you press one of the punch buttons again, he'll suddenly leap forward to smash the opponent on the head with his stick.


STINGER
(DPM+K, P OR K)

When you do the first part of the motion, Rolento will leap up with a knife in his hand. Then press any punch or kick button to throw the knife at the opponent.


SUPER COMBO: MINESWEEPER
(QCB, QCB+P)

Rolento will roll back a few times and throw grenades everywhere, which will then explode.


SUPER COMBO: TAKES NO PRISONERS
(QCF, QCF+P)

Upon doing the move command, Rolento will grab a wire which will travel across the screen. If the wire hits the opponent, Rolento will put them onto a hook which an El Gado drops down, and then twang the wire so the opponent gets slammed into the floor.


SUPER COMBO: STEEL RAIN
(QCF, QCF+K)

Putting several knives onto his stick, Rolento will then launch them up into the air. After a second, the knives will come back down on top of the opponent.



Sodom's attempts at getting sumo wrestlers to join Mad Gear have failed, and some time after this, Sodom is dismayed to watch the Mad Gear gang fall apart for good, with his attempts to bring it back together also failing. Sodom now seeks out to be come a true Japanese person, whilst also trying to find his old ally Rolento.

If you pick Sodom in A-ISM or V-ISM modes, he will fight with his sais. But if you pick him in X-ISM mode, he'll fight with his two swords, just like in Final Fight! However, his actual moves all stay the same, and he hasn't actually gained any new special or super moves at all.



JIGOKU SCRAPE
(DPM+P)

Sodom will lunge forward with a blow from one of his sais or swords. This move looks different for each punch button.


BUTSU METSU BUSTER
(360°+P)

If the opponent is close enough, Sodom will grab them and then leap up to slam them into the ground.


DAIKYO BURNING
(360°+K)

Sodom will dash forward, and if he hits the opponent, he will slam them into the ground and then run them across the ground to burn them.


SUPER COMBO: PUMMELER
(QCF, QCF+P)

A super version of the jigoku scrape, this is several of them in a row. This is Sodom's X-ISM super combo.


SUPER COMBO: TENCHUSATSU
(360°x2+P)

A super version of the butsu metsu buster, this one does more slams for more damage.
