Kyle tells Haggar that Cody is his brother, causing Haggar to remember who he is. He hasn't seen Kyle for a long time, and judging from the look on his face, Kyle doesn't remember him either. Not many people do these days. Haggar takes the picture from Kyle and learns from him that Cody has been fighting for Vito. Haggar seems to know about Vito and also knows about the new drug, "glow". He hopes Cody doesn't believe about glow making a person stronger. Haggar invites Kyle to his gym to learn a new move, so the night isn't a total loss.

Haggar will teach you the drop kick move. You need to hit him four times with it to pass the test, and thankfully the technique is very easy to do: just press the light and strong attack buttons together. After doing this four times, the move will be added to your list of techniques. From here you can continue sparring with Haggar, or quit. When the sparring is over, Haggar asks Kyle if he intends to take this back to Vito. Kyle says he has to.

Haggar says he still has some friends in Metro vice, and he'll ring them to see if they know anything. He also advises that next time Kyle sees Vito, he should try showing him a little respect, as that might make him treat him better. After the cutscene ends, you can buy some more moves from Haggar, or do some more sparring. Otherwise take a quick look around the gym (there is a energy bar item to take) and then leave. Kyle will automatically head to Little Italy.

When Kyle enters Vito's restaurant, he sees Vito talking to a priest. Vito asks the priest to leave and then scowls at Kyle. However Kyle admits that last time he was here, he didn't show any respect. He wants to make amends for that, and says he will fight for Vito. And any money he wins he will give to Vito also. In return, he just wants word from Vito about Cody. Vito says that Kyle is now talking his lingo, and he has himself a deal. Kyle is taken back to the arena.

Kyle's opponent is Andore! Andore is a powerful wrestler who is the toughest enemy in the game so far. He's good at taking punishment, and can take several punches from you without flinching. A good move to use against him is the drop kick, as this will make him stumble back. If you manage this, be sure to back off for a few seconds, as Andore will come towards you and go for a grab. If you get caught in his grip, you'll be thrown to the floor.

Andore has his own drop kick which will send you flying if it hits. His other move includes a palm slap and an elbow attack. If you can't use the drop kick, try a fast combo (strong attack followed by two light attacks). Make good use of the dash to keep out of Andore's reach.

After the fight, Vito welcomes Kyle and offers him some of the winnings, telling him to go and buy a hooker and a bottle of booze. Kyle says he's looking to buy something else, and passes Vito a picture of Cody. He just wants to know if Cody fought for Vito. Vito says he did, and he made a lot of money off of him. But then he went and got hooked on glow, and that made him dirty. Kyle wonders why Cody would use glow. Vito says it is because you feel no pain on glow, it makes you feel like a super man. Cody was getting old and slow, and a slow man is a dead man in this racket.

Kyle asks if the reason why Cody went to Stiff was to get the glow. Vito says he doesn't know about that, but he tells Kyle that he likes him as he brings in the bank. He wish he had more to tell him about Cody, but that's all he knows. He gives Kyle some cash and tells him to be careful, as he's seen this a thousand times -he's chasing a ghost. Kyle takes the money and leaves, heading back to the hood.

When Kyle arrives home, he calls Vanessa. He tells her what he's found out from Vito, and that he's going to go back to the pier district to check that hotel out again, just to see if he missed anything first time round. When the cutscene ends, just run forward to reach a route directly to the pier district. When you arrive there, some new punks are out and about.

One thing to note is that if you go back to Haggar's place, you'll find Haggar standing around outside. If you talk to him, you can hire him to provide some backup for a fee of $100. Anyway, go to the hotel. Some more punks are standing near the front entrance. Defeat them and then head down the alley to the side of the hotel.

As Kyle head towards the back entrance, Cody suddenly drops down from above -and from looking at his eyes, Kyle can tell he's on glow! Cody tells Kyle this doesn't involve him and he should go home, but the two start to argue. However, Sims then appears, gun in hand, telling Kyle to stop away from his brother. He won't ask again.

Cody suddenly runs for it, and Kyle goes after him, telling Sims not so shoot. But then an explosion rocks part of the hotel, causing Kyle and Sims to fall over. By the time they get up, Cody is nowhere to be seen.

Sims tells Kyle that his brother is in a heap of shit and he'd best take his advice: go home. As Sims runs after Cody, Kyle hangs back, as Sims didn't notice that Cody dropped his wallet. Kyle has a look through it and come across the other half of the picture Cody had in his apartment. It features a man with a detailed tattoo on his arm. Kyle thinks maybe this man can help him, and returns to the hood. He calls 2-Ill and asks him about Paco, the local tattoo artist. 2-Ill says he saw Paco at his place not long ago.

When you regain control of Kyle, go and talk to the cop you see. You can start another side mission, which involves talking to a snitch. The snitch doesn't want to talk, so use some light attacks on him until he changes his mind. He'll reveal that some weapons are being smuggled into the porn theater. Head to the theater, and some guys outside will charge towards you. Take them down and you'll get a theater key. Go inside the theater.

The theater is crawling with thugs, several of which are armed with pistols. Either take them all out, or try and go past them and make a dash towards the bottom left corner of the screen room. This is where the weapons are, collect them and then take them back to the cop to get your reward.

You'll want to go to Paco's tattoo parlor next. It is located near the "Pawn King" pawn shop. When you are inside, talk to Paco. He'll say he won't tell you anything until you do something about these roaches, as the housing inspector is coming. And it isn't just roaches either, he's got rats! You will then be forced to do a stomping game. Kill all 12 critters within the time limit to win.

Paco will tell you that the tattoo seen in the picture was done by Lou "The Skin" and that his shop is over in Japantown. When gameplay resumes, you'll be in Japantown, which introduces a new type of enemy on the streets: girls. They may be young, but some of them are armed with swords. They also have an evasion technique.

Run around the town until you find Lou's shop, which is called "The Dragon's Skin". Head inside and as soon as Kyle goes through the door, Lou will tell him to wait and let him ponder. He guesses that Kyle is looking to grind a tribal.

Word is "The Skin's" the best ink slinger in Metro City. Hell, maybe even the country. Gotta be good t' earn the respect o' folks in these parts. He may look like a freak...but there's a fine line between madness n' genius. Lou just re-inks that line, from time to time.

Kyle passes Lou the photo, saying he saw this tattoo on some guy and liked what he saw. Lou takes a look at it and tells Kyle that he has an eye for quality, as he carved that piece way back. But he then drops the photo. As Kyle goes to pick it up, Lou grabs the cash register and smashes it over Kyle's head!

When Kyle wakes up he is confronted by a man in a white suit. Lou says that Kyle's wallet states he is Cody Travers. The white suit man asks if that is Kyle's name. Kyle says he'd better know only a cheap shot like that would take him down. The man tells his underlings to show Kyle what happens to people who don't answer his questions. When gameplay resumes, you will have to fight several ninjas, who will fight you one at a time. Some are armed with swords, and all of them can attack quickly.

What will usually happen here is that as soon as you K.O. one of the ninjas, another will immediately attack you, often via stabbing. It gets easier as you defeat more of them though, as you'll have more room to move. When the ninjas are defeated, Lou decides to fight Kyle, and he'll enter the arena. Lou is quite a challenge. His main move to look out for is an attack where he flips over and crashes into you. He also likes to taunt a lot, but don't get near him when he does. If you do, he'll stop taunting and use his kick move. His other techniques include a small combo and a throw.

Make use of the instinct gauge to power up your combos as this is the fastest way of brining Lou down. You can also try using the swords that the ninjas dropped, but Lou is pretty good at evading swipes made at him. Once Lou has been beaten, he'll get up and tell Guy to kick Kyle's ass! Guy has removed his suit and confronts Kyle. He does some very fast punches and kicks, which are so quick they seem inhuman.

Guy?! Where have I heard THAT name before?! Aw, shit...that tattoo! What have I gotten myself into?! I've never seen hands that fast!

Kyle says that he isn't Cody. Guy tells him that that's obvious, and whoever he is, it is time he learned a lesson. Kyle explains that he is Cody's brother, and shows Guy the picture of him and Cody. And now Cody is in a mess with the glow drug. Guy says he will need to know everything, and there are things Kyle will need to know. He offers to discuss things at his dojo.

At the dojo, Guy finishes up a story. He tells Kyle that Cody took blame for a crime he committed, giving up his own freedom in the process. Guy got to stay out of jail, but he hasn't spoken to Cody since. There are regrets, but some debts cannot be repaid. Guy offers to teach Kyle the charge punch technique. This is a short range projectile attack which you will have to use against Guy four times to master. The motion for this move can be a little tricky to do on the controller's d-pad, but I found it much easier to perform on the analogue stick. Do the charge punch four times and it will be added to your moves list.

When the sparring is finished, Guy tells Kyle he clearly is Cody's brother. He says it brings him deep pain, watching this great city fall. He is proud that Japantown remains clean, but it gets very difficult. He won't let that drug bring his people down. Kyle wonders what can be done to stop it, but Guy doesn't know. The mastermind behind it is trying to make him give away Japantown, which will be his undoing. Kyle asks about this mastermind... does Guy know who the drug lord is? Guy says it is a man with no face and no name.

Guy doesn't know who it is, but he does know that they have a strong influence in Little Italy. In fact, his men should be there now, checking things. Suddenly Blades appears, holding the head of one of Guy's ninjas! He has decapitated him and placed a bomb on his mask. He throws the head at Guy and Kyle and then runs. Guy and Kyle also run for it as the bomb goes off!
