This Japanese promotional video contains footage from a prototype version of the game, which has several differences when compared to the final version:

In the promo, the title screen is missing the ®. The "Final Fight" text is closer to the number 2 in the promo.

In the promo, Maki's portrait on the character select screen has her with a different hairstyle than what's seen in the final version. Some stats were also changed, with all characters losing a bit if weight in the final version, especially Haggar. Maki and Carlos also got a bit taller.

In the promo, when the first round starts, Haggar is in the middle of the screen. In the final, Haggar walks on from the left, and stops to the left side of the screen. The promo's map has color differences, and all of the country flags are colored. In the final, the flags will only be colored depending on which level you're on. The promo lacks the name of the country you're in, and the time. Finally, the "CAPCON" was corrected to "CAPCOM" on the sign.

In the promo, this barrel is in a different location when compared to the final. The clouds are different too.

In the promo, part of the intro is shown. This shot has a gray tint, in the final the color was changed. Cody's position is slightly different, and you can see more at the top and bottom of the screen. Of course, the biggest difference here is that in the promo, Guy and Haggar are present. They were removed from the final version.

The promo has a few differences with this part of the intro. The backgrounds are missing, and Maki's face was redrawn to make her look more worried in the final version. Haggar's mouth doesn't move as he talks, and his dialogue is slightly different compared to what he says in the final.
