Mike Haggar is back to destroy the Mad Gear gang for good, and help out Maki in rescuing her friends. As far as his moves go, Haggar has not changed that much from the last game at all, and still has the same attack combo, jumping attacks and special attack. His piledriver has now changed however, as he'll spin when doing this move. Also like in the previous game, Haggar is the slowest character to play as, but is also the most powerful.

COMBO

Press the attack button 3 times near an opponent. Haggar will do 2 gut punches, then do a hammer punch to knock the opponent down.


JUMP KICK/FLYING JUMP KICK

Press jump then attack, or press a direction with jump, then press attack. Haggar's drop kick will knock any opponent down if it hits them.


STUN ATTACK

Like in the last game, Haggar's stun attack actually knocks the opponent down so it's not as good as Carlos' or Maki's stun attacks. Press jump, then down and attack to do this move.


HEADBUTT

Grab the opponent and press the attack button. Can be done up to three times, the third hit always does the most damage on standard enemies.


SUPLEX

Grab the opponent, hold either left or right, then press the attack button to smash the opponent into the floor.


SPINNING PILEDRIVER

Grab the opponent, press jump, then press the attack button. This move does a lot of damage and is usually the move to go for when you grab an opponent. You can hold left or right whilst you jump to aim where Haggar will land the move, and if you hit any opponents standing in the way, they will fall over.


SPECIAL ATTACK
SPINNING CLOTHESLINE

Haggar will spin around with his arms outstretched, causing any nearby enemies to be knocked down.

After finding out that the Mad Gear gang has returned and captured two of her friends, Maki seeks the help of Mike Haggar, who destroyed the gang previously. Maki is basically Guy's replacement in Final Fight 2 -she uses the same fighting style as him and she has nearly all of his moves, with only a few differences. As such, Maki's moves do the least damage when compared to Haggar and Carlos, but she makes up for it by having great speed.

COMBO

Keep pressing the attack button near an opponent. Maki's combo starts with 2 quick jabs, one straight punch, an elbow smash and then a jumping high kick.


JUMP KICK

Press jump, then attack. Maki's kick will always knock the opponent down if it hits them.


FLYING KICK

Hold left or right and press jump, then press the attack button. Will knock the opponent down if it hits.


OFF THE WALL JUMP KICK

Jump towards a wall, then as Maki comes into contact with it, press the jump button again. Maki will jump off the wall and deliver a powerful flying kick.


ELBOW DROP

Whilst in a jump, hold down and press the attack button. Maki will hit the opponent from above and stun them. This is a useful move as whilst the opponent is briefly stunned you can grab them for a throw.


KNEE BASH

Grab the opponent and press the attack button. Maki will knee the opponent in the head. Can be done up to three times, the third hit always does the most damage on standard enemies.


SHOULDER THROW

Grab the opponent, hold left or right and then press the attack button. Maki will throw her opponent over her shoulder.


SPECIAL ATTACK
GALE WIND KICK

Using one of her arms Maki will spin around a couple of times to kick the opponent. This special attack has great range, the best out of the 3 characters in fact.

Carlos is a traveler who has studied several martial arts and has mastered karate. He eventually ended up in Metro City where he stayed as a boarder at Haggar's house, but decided to go and help Haggar and Maki destroy the Mad Gear gang and rescue Maki's two friends. Carlos is the most well balanced of the 3 fighters, making him the Cody of Final Fight 2.

COMBO

Press the attack button repeatedly when near an opponent. Carlos will do 2 quick punches, a chop and then a high kick.


JUMP KICK

Upwards kick done by pressing jump, then attack. Will always knock the opponent down if it hits.


FLYING KICK

Hold left or right whilst jumping, and then press attack. Will knock the opponent down if it hits.


DOWNWARD PUNCH

Whilst jumping, hold down and press the attack button. Carlos will punch the opponent from above, stunning them briefly. Use this stun time to throw them.


KNEE BASH

Grab the opponent and press the attack button. Carlos will knee the opponent in the chest. Can be done up to three times, the third hit always does the most damage on standard enemies.


BACK THROW

Hold left or right and the attack button whilst holding an opponent.


SPECIAL ATTACK
SPINNING SWORD SLICE

Carlos will grab his sword and spin around with it to slice nearby enemies.
