Having learnt that some Destrons have appeared in the Far East, Shuttle Base has been moved to Japan. Galaxy Shuttle takes off to start a patrol, whist Jean, Holi, Wingwaver and Dashtacker watch Victory Leo. Victory Leo is fighting with pure rage, and destroys a large rock with his fists.



He then draws out a large gun and blows away more rocks. Wingwaver tells him that training is fine, so long as he doesn't destroy their base! Victory Leo glares at him and then runs inside. Wingwaver and Dashtacker just can't see Victory Leo as God Ginrai reborn, and also head inside. Jean asks Holi if Victory Leo really is God Ginrai reborn, but he gives no answer.



Machtackle reports that he's picked up some kind of strange Destron signal. Elsewhere in the base, Perceptor, Wheeljack and Minerva prepare to perform a certain operation on Star Saber. Minerva scans a certain section of Star Saber's head.



Perceptor says that is the only pace where they can put the "unification device". Wingwaver then contacts Star Saber, saying that they've picked up a Destron signal which mentions to attack the Asama. Wingwaver thinks this must be mount Asama, as there is a geothermal power plant there. Star Saber surprises Wingwaver by saying he'll have Victory Leo sent out to it.



Victory Leo is summoned, and asks why he was called here. Star Saber tells him to head out to the geothermal power plant immediately, and to take Jean and Holi with him. Victory Leo says to leave it to him and heads out.



Near the plant, Guyhawk and Hellbat are waiting around for the others to arrive. Hellbat gets impatient as he sent the code out to everyone a while a go, but the two then hear Victory Leo flying overhead. Guyhawk says he'll turn him into scrap, and refuses Hellbat's offer of help. He transforms and goes after him by himself, but Hellbat isn't concerned as he had no plans to cover him anyway. Being all gung-ho just gets you hurt! As Guyhawk moves in, Victory Leo opens fire with a barrage of laser shots from his gatling guns...



...along with some missiles. Guyhawk quickly gets blasted, and crash lands. Hellbat thinks that's what he deserves for acting so tough.



Jean and Holi arrive at the plant, which isn't manned as it is fully automated. They can't see Victory Leo, but they are instead found by Killbison, Jallguar and Drillhorn. The three Destrons don't think much of their opposition, but then they get shot at from the sky.



Holi tells Jean that they'll cover the building's entrance, whilst Victory Leo is more than a match for the Destrons. Leozack then arrives and tells Drillhorn and Killbison to go and take the energy, whilst he and Jallguar hold off Victory Leo.



Drillhorn and Killbison head inside the plant, and blasts Holi out of the way. Holi tells Jean not to worry about him and that they must go and shut down the power plant, as there is a main switch inside the computer room they can use. Holi gets up and heads inside.



As Leozack continues to fight Victory Leo, Hellbat appears and tells him that Guyhawk has been injured. Leozack tells him to go inside the plant to help Killbison and Drillhorn. Inside the plant, Holi is looking for the computer room when Drillhorn finds him, and starts shooting. Jean hears Holi scream, but as he turns around, he has his own problem.



"Hey boy, let's be friends!"



Hellbat attacks Jean, who runs off. Drillhorn meanwhile has cornered Holi, and starts shooting at the ceiling. Soon Holi is buried under a large pile of rubble.



Jean is still running away from Hellbat when he manages to knock himself out by tripping over some rubble. Hellbat really thought they were going to be friends, but he locks the door to trap Jean in a room. Back outside, Victory Leo and Jallguar continue to fight with Victory Leo.



Jean wakes up and realises he's been locked in, but he finds Holi nearby. Holi can't move and to make things worse, Jean finds that Holi's communicator is broken. Back in Shuttle Base, Perceptor tells Star Saber they will now begin the unification circuit procedure. Star Saber is worried because even if he recovers, if Ginrai's mind doesn't awaken in Victory Leo...Perceptor correctly guesses that that must have been the reason he sent Jean and Holi with Victory Leo. Wingwaver then enters the room and says there has been no contact from Jean or Holi.



Star Saber contacts Victory Leo, asking him if Jean and Holi are alright. Victory Leo hears the call but does not response, as he's still fighting with Leozack and Jallguar. Wingwaver wants to head out to the power plant, but Star Saber says that Victory Leo is there and his kind heart will surely revive. He trusts Victory Leo and is sure that God Ginrai is alive within him. Perceptor then orders Wingwaver out of the room, so he and the others can start the operation on Star Saber.



Victory Leo knocks down Leozack and points a gun at his head. He tells Jallguar it would be best for both Leozack's and his health if he gave up. But just then parts of the power plant start to shake and malfunction -it seems Drillhorn's earlier shooting did more damage than anyone thought.



Jean sees that things inside the plant are starting to explode, and yells out for Victory Leo to help them. Leozack tells Victory Leo that that was the voice of his comrade -shouldn't he go and help him? Victory Leo doesn't know why he is supposed to care. Leozack is shocked that someone who is meant to be a Cybertron just said that, but Victory Leo tells him to shut up and reminds him of the situation here.



Jean keeps calling for help, telling Victory Leo to come and save him and Holi. This seems to trigger something in Victory Leo's mind, as he recognises that voice...who was it? Seemingly confused, Leozack thinks he can make a move, but Victory Leo quickly snaps out of it and tells him not to move.



Jean continues to call for help, saying that he and Holi cannot get out and he must help them -he wants him, Ginrai, to help them! Suddenly Victory Leo remembers something -that boy is Jean, he knows him! He is Ginrai! And just as Victory Leo remembers this, Jallguar kicks him in the face.



This causes him to drop his gun, which Leozack picks up and starts battering him on the back of his head with it. Victory Leo quickly recovers and knocks both of them out of the way, before storming inside the power plant. He comes across the other Destrons, who were gathering together energy, and smashes them around also.



Destroying the locked door, Victory Leo finds Jean and says everything will be OK. He goes over to where Holi is trapped and removes him from the rubble. The three head outside, but as they do, a couple of spears are thrown at them.



Leozack and Jallguar still want to fight, but a couple of missiles from Victory Leo forces them into retreating.



Back at Shuttle Base, the operation has been completed, and the unification device has been installed inside Star Saber's head. Perceptor tells Star Saber this, and has the treatment machines turned off.



Star Saber gets up, and is at full strength again. He tells Jean that he must have worried him earlier, but he's fine now. Star Saber heads outside, and finds Victory Leo. He tells him that from now on, they shall be fighting together.



The two Cybertrons shake hands. Having had his justice-loving heart revived, Victory Leo now has an intense fighting spirit inside him, ready to defeat the Destrons.
