In our last episode, Ken and Ryu journeyed to Thailand, in a quest to experience genuine Muay Thai. But the moment they arrived, Ryu was arrested for suspicion of transporting drugs, and sent to prison, where he was forced to endure brutal torture and the taunting of other prisoners. Meanwhile, Ken hits the streets of Bangkok, trying to prove Ryu's innocence.

Ryu takes his shirt off, revealing that he has many scars. Sagat yells for his gloves and fighting gear to be brought out. He tosses Ryu a pair of gloves, and Ryu says he never could have hoped for a Muay Thai experience as memorable as this. Sagat gets ready.

He notices Ryu has gone into a stance, and asks him if he's going to fight him using Muay Thai. Ryu says not only is he going to use it, he's going to rearrange his face with it! Sagat charges, and lands a kick which Ryu blocks. Sagat instantly follows it up with another kick.

The prisoners starting making bets on who's going to win. Sagat continues to batter Ryu.

Ryu hits back with a couple of kicks, but Sagat blocks them, and then hits Ryu with an uppercut. Nuchi finds the guy setting up the bets, and says he wants 50%...

...he should know that Nuchi always gets his cut! As Ryu continues to fight, Sagat thinks he can't believe that this kid has already mastered Muay Thai. He tells Ryu he's good, but now he knows he's got the technique down, he can quit taking it so easy on him. Ryu runs forward.

However, Sagat hits him with a few kicks, and says this is the power of Muay Thai. He hits Ryu with another strike, and one of the prisoners says that was the tiger knee, the blow that made Sagat famous when he was the champion of Thailand. Ryu hits a wall, and falls down. Sagat starts to walk away.

But Ryu asks if he's given up already. Sagat turns around to see that Ryu is standing back up. Ryu says he can see that Muay Thai has many levels to be mastered, but now he'll demonstrate the technique he's mastered! Sagat runs forward, only for Ryu to hit him with a powerful kick.

Ryu follows this up with several more attacks, causing Sagat to stumble back. Sagat says it has been a long time since he fought someone with as much spirit as he has. If he'd had an opponent like him to fight all those years ago, he'd be living the life of a big time champion...

At a championship fight, Sagat easily defeats his opponent, knocking him out in the first round.

Later on, Sagat's manager, Mickey, says they've been over this already: he shouldn't knock out his opponent in the very first round. Nobody is making any money betting on his fights any more, so he has to drag the fights out so they can get the betting up. Sagat asks how he's supposed to do that when he keeps being sent opponents that his sisters could beat to a pulp. Mickey says he understands, but says they need the people who make money off of these fights to be happy with them. He doesn't like it when Ashura's men come around and lean on him because his fighter won't cooperate. Sagat says what do they need with Ashura, as he doesn't jump through hoops for crime syndicates. An Ashura agent then walks in, and says his employers will be upset to find that their champion frowns upon them. He says his name is Han, and he's here on behalf of the Ashura. He's here to make a proposition, but Sagat tells him to save his breath. Ashura's money is drug money, he's sure he can do better.

Han says he withdraws his proposal, but instead if putting in a specific demand: he will pretend to be knocked out by his opponent in the next championship match. They'll reciprocate him by placing 15 million in a bank account with Sagat's name on it. Sagat gets angry and asks if he thinks he'd throw a fight for money. Mickey tries to reason with him, warning him that bad things happen to those who mess with Ashura -he should just do it this one time. Han tells him he'd be wise to listen to his manager, but Sagat throws Mickey back.

Sagat then beats up Han, sending him crashing through a door. He tells him to get his fat face out of here.

Han picks up his glasses, and tells Sagat it seems he's willing to learn why no one defies the will of Ashura and Mr. Zochi... he'll here from them. Sometime later, Sagat is enjoying a cup of tea in his mansion. But then the police arrive, and one office tells Sagat they have orders to inspect the premises for illegal contraband. They've had a report that he's supplying heroin. Sagat says he's never done drugs.

But then one officer finds some drugs, and Sagat is placed under arrest. Sagat doesn't understand how those drugs got there, but the other offices point their guns at him. Sagat is sent to prison, where he meets Nuchi.

Back in the present, Sagat says he'd still be champion today if they'd found him someone to fight as worthy as Ryu is. He's made him remember a time when he was more than a simple bully -if only they could have had this fight back then. He tells Ryu he has his protection for as long as he remains here, and then tells everyone else that he's calling this fight off -anyone who laid down money ought to get it back. The prisoners take back their bets.

However, Nuchi steps in, and says he won't let Sagat quit just like that. He tells him to get in there and kill the kid. He wants half the wagers, and he's not going to get cheated out of it, so he says the fight is on! Sagat says he doesn't answer to him, and repeats that the fight is over. Nuchi says he seems to forget he's speaking to the one man who can take away everything he's got with one little snap of his fingers. Sagat tells him if he wants to fight so bad, he should fight Ryu himself. He takes off his gloves, and throws them aside. As Sagat walks off, Nuchi tells him to turn around, and starts spinning a chain.

But before he can use it, Ryu grabs it and says it's not right to use a chain on a guy who's unarmed. The guards take aim, but Nuchi tells them to not to bother -he's going to fix these two fighters himself!

He pulls out a gun and says he knows why they don't respect him -it's because when he introduced them to his chain, neither of them folded. Now they're both giving him problems, and he doesn't like it. Now he's going to shoot them dead for trying to start a riot, and says a head shot will do it. He then points the gun into Sagat and asks him if he'd rather get it in the gut, he knows gut shots are very painful, and sometimes it might take a man weeks to finally die from the loss of blood. He asks who wants to be first, and decides on Sagat. But before he can pull the trigger, Ryu jumps up.

Nuchi spins around, only for Ryu to kick his gun out of his hand. Sagat then punches him in the face, and then he and Ryu finish Nuchi off.

Nuchi crashes into a wall, and collapses. The prisoners start cheering, as Sagat and Ryu give each other a thumbs up. Meanwhile, Ken is...

...finding dead ends. He knocks down a door, but the room is empty. He was sure his tip was on the money, and this is where that guy who framed Ryu was supposed to be hiding out. But as he goes up to a window, he sees the guy about to get into a car!

Ken leaps out, but the car starts to drive off, so he starts running after it. Inside the car, Donu is chewed out by Zochi, who tells him his mission was a complete failure. Donu says the attack on Dorai was in the bag until those stupid foreign kids messed it up. Zochi thinks they weren't kids, they were obviously professionals. He asks Donu why he's back in this country, as he's let Dorai live. Now Dorai has plenty of leads to begin an investigation of their dealings.

He tells Donu that he's turned up where he's least needed, and created pandemonium at the airport yesterday afternoon. Donu says his sources told him the kids who helped Dorai had come into the country, so he waited for them. Then, he planted some smack in their luggage, and got one of them sent to prison. Zochi tells him such small retaliation serves no purpose, and he would be well advised not to involve the syndicate in his skirmishes. The driver then says they're being followed.

They see Ken running after them, and Donu recognizes him as the other kid who was helping Dorai. He tells the driver to speed up. Ken can't run any longer, but then sees a guy on a bike heading his way. He tells the guy to stop.

The guy panics and ends up crashing, so Ken gives him a lot of money, and then takes his bike. He resumes chasing after the car.

The guys in the car see that Ken is after them again, so the driver spins the car around, and heads down an alley. Ken chases after it...

...only for the car to suddenly back up, smashing into him. The bike is sent flying upwards, and Zochi tells Donu to make sure the kid is dead. Donu gets out of the car, but as soon as he does, Ken grabs him and drags him up. Zochi tells his driver to get them out of here.

As the car backs up, Ken falls from it, but grabs something from Donu. Donu also falls, but is able to get back in the car, which then drives off. Ken looks at what he grabbed, and realizes it's the mask that the guy who ran away from Dorai's dojo was wearing. He now gets what this is all about.

At the prison, Sagat tells Ryu that the Ashura are smugglers, and when the Ashura doesn't like you, you disappear. Ryu says he's learning. Sagat says Ashura is a powerful crime syndicate, who have their fingers in every pie in this part of the world. It's run by a man called Zochi, but he's heard that there's someone even higher than him. He thinks Ryu has done a good job in picking his enemies.

Ken calls Dorai, and explains what's happened. Dorai says he's going to be in Thailand soon, regarding the Ashura. In the meantime, he'll fax him everything he's got on Ashura so he won't be working blind. As Ken hangs up, Dorai tells Chun Li that it's all his fault that Ryu and Ken have been pulled into the Asura's web of crime.

Mr. Masters contacts his son, and says that he's just got off the phone with the secretary of state. They've spoken to the Thai government, who have agreed to released Ryu on bail. But until his trial date, he's not allowed to leave the country. Ken says not to worry, as he's sure they'll have Ryu's name cleared by then. Ken says he'll go and get Ryu, and heads off. Back at the prison, Ryu is due to be released. Sagat tells him that maybe some day, they'll have a rematch. Ryu says sure, so Sagat tells him he'll see him on the outside.

As Ryu and Sagat walk off, Nuchi is watching, and is very frustrated. Ken comes over and says sorry it took so long for him to get everything worked out, but Ryu says he never doubted he would. Ryu leaves the prison, leaving Sagat inside it.

Ryu says he'll meet Sagat again someday. He and Ken then head off, and Ryu asks Ken if he has any idea who would want him in prison. Ken gives him the mask he grabbed, and Ryu recognizes it.

Ryu says he'll make them pay. Ken tells him that Dorai sent a list of possible hideouts for their group, and he's pretty sure he knows which one they'll find them in. He thought Ryu might like to go with him, and Ryu says be all means -they'll pay them a visit!

Ken and Ryu pay a visit to the Ashura's hideout, even as Dorai arrives in Thailand, and the operation to destroy the Ashura begins in earnest. But Ken and Ryu find themselves face to face with a mad killer, in the heart of enemy headquarters. Will they survive to learn who is controlling the Ashura from the shadows?
