In our last episode, Ryu met the venerable master Yo, who was able to control his spiritual energy in ways Ryu had never imagined possible. Ryu learned about ki, and even learned something of how to control it. Although he was still skeptical when he left master Yo, a deeper understanding of his own abilities had awakened within Ryu.

Out at sea, a drugs deal takes place, as several boxes of heroin are taken from one large ship to a small boat. The boat heads back to the docks, where another guy is waiting. They're about to start bring out the merchandise...

...when a bunch of lights get turned on. Dorai and the Hong Kong police force are waiting, and Dorai tells the drug dealers to put their hands in the air. He suggests they surrender peacefully, as they'll get a cozy cell downtown courtesy of him. The drugs bust is soon reported on, and it's revealed that 10 cases of heroin were seized by police. It's believed this bust will bring a devastating blow to drug operations in the area.

The guys expecting the drugs aren't happy. They hate Dorai, and one of them says their sources are getting nervous, they're going to get a lot of heat for this. Rose, the leader, says he's aware of that. He says this fiasco makes them look like a bunch of buffoons. Mohawk asks what they do now, should they leave town until the heat dies down? Rose says no, they're doing to show Hong Kong vice that detectives who screw with them get killed, starting with Dorai!

At the Hong Kong police HQ, Dorai goes to see commander Cho. Cho says they've had a request from Interpol: they want them to help investigate the suppliers of that heroin. Dorai thinks they must want the Thai smugglers. Cho says that's it exactly, and Interpol wants to bring Dorai in on their investigation, as they think he can make a difference. Dorai objects, but Cho says he's already tried to explain to Interpol that he's already overworked as it is. Dorai says he's in Hong Kong to stop the drug traffickers from selling poison to their young people. Cho then says there is something else: the Ashura have been making threats. The latest bust seems to have angered all the right people, and when they're angry, they can be exceedingly ruthless. He thinks Dorai is in grave danger, and the Ashura will probably make a move soon. He wants to have some bodyguards sent to protect Dorai, but Dorai says they don't have enough manpower for protection, so he'll have to watch his own back. Cho tells him to be careful, as their enemies have a habit of doing what they least expect.

Elsewhere, Chun Li says she is worried about her dad. Since the last bust, he's really been keeping to himself, and whilst his job has always brought trouble, this time it seems different. Ken tells her not to worry about it. She gets dropped back off at her home, and tells Ryu and Ken that Fei Long is coming over later, so they should drop in. She then remembers there's a conference tomorrow, and asks Ken if he can pick her up there. Ken says no problem, and after making arrangements, he and Ryu drive off. Nearby, one of Rose's underlings, Yang Su, has been watching.

At an airport, Rose meets with a man called Donu. The two know each other, and Donu says his men are back over there. The group pile into a van, which drives away from the airport. Donu asks when Rose intends to whack the cop, but Rose asks for patience. His web is very nearly spun.

He then gets a phone call from Yang Su, who tells him that Dorai hasn't appeared yet, but he thinks he's found the perfect bait: Dorai's only daughter. Yang reveals when Chun Li is going to be picked up by Ken, so Rose says he'll have some of his men pick her up.

The next morning, Mohawk sees Chun Li leave, and starts following her. Yang reports to Rose that Mohawk is waiting for the girl to come out of her class, and whilst Dorai hasn't shown up yet, Li Yang has remained at the temple. He asks if his Thai friends have arrived, and Rose says they got here last night. Yang can hear something, and Rose explains that their guests are exercising -it gets noisy. Nearby, Donu's guys are training hard.

Donu says the death blows of these men are unearthly, and Rose's problem is about to me rectified most decisively. He and Rose start laughing.

At the police HQ, Dorai asks Linda to make some copies of a report. She says she can do it, but tells him to go home -he's been here for 72 hours! Dorai thinks time flies when you're having fun. Linda tells him to get some rest tonight whilst he can, as it's quiet at the moment. Dorai decides to go, and says he'll come back in tomorrow.

Chun Li is waiting at a park. Nearby are some clowns, who are entertaining a small crowd. As she starts reading a book, one of the clowns comes up to her, and passes her a balloon. But as soon as she takes it, he turns nasty!

Ryu and Ken are heading up to where Chun Li is, when they suddenly see a clown tumble down some steps. Chun Li takes down some more guys, as Mohawk and the rest of his men are a bit surprised by how strong the girl they've been sent to get is.

As Chun Li and Ryu take on everyone, Mohawk sees that he's the only one left. He tells the punk kids he'll show them what is means to mess with them. He pulls out a gun, and takes aim.

But Ken then comes over, and throws him down the steps. Ken grabs another guy and asks why they did such an elaborate setup to get Chun Li. The clown explains he's just hired muscle, they were supposed to snag the girl, but they needed her alive -they wanted to use her as bait. Ken asks bait for what, but the guy says he doesn't know. Chun Li says her father is the one these guys are after, so Ken tells her to call her father now, and let him know what's going on.

Rose is furious when he finds out his men failed to get Chun Li. Mohawk says she really knew how to fight, and there were these two other guys who helped her out. He starts to complain that his arm is messed up, and he needs Rose to come and get him and take him to the hospital. Ross calls him an idiot, as this changes the entire plan -he should get himself to this hospital! As he hangs up, he wonders what to do.

Li Yang then calls Rose, and tells him that Dorai has just returned home. Rose asks if Dorai is by himself, but Li Yang says there are about 4 students inside. Rose tells him to keep an eye on things, and hangs up. Donu says it's time to make the hit, within minutes Dorai is going to find out from his daughter about what's going on. He recommends Rose tells Li Yang to shoot Dorai as soon as he goes into the house. Yang Su thinks Donu is out of his mind for suggesting that happens in broad daylight, but Donu says they are out of time. If they don't do this, not only will Dorai surround himself with guards, but he'll use this incident to marshal the entire Hong Kong police force, and wipe them out!

Rose says they'll kill him before he gets the chance. He tells Donu to tell his men that they're moving out. Later on, a truck smashes down one of the temple's walls. Donu leads many men out of the truck, and tells them to kill Dorai's students.

But Fei Long then shows up, and takes three guys down at once. The students -Lo Yang, Lin and Wong -also start fighting back, and many of Donu's men are beaten.

Donu orders his own men to kill them, and three fighters clad in black move forward. They take down Lin and Wong, and then go into their fighting stances.

Fei Long tries to attack one of them, but gets kicked down. Lo Yang asks what that kick was, and Fei Long says it's Muay Thai, the fighting style of Thailand. Elsewhere, Donu and some other men have entered the temple. One of the Thai fighters punches down a door.

Dorai is waiting, which surprises Donu -he thought Dorai would have used his pupils as decoys, whilst he ran away. Dorai greets Donu by name, which surprises him again. Donu asks how he knew it was him, but Dorai just says to never underestimate the Hong Kong police department. He tells everyone to lay down their weapons, and put their hands in the air. Donu tells his men to kill him.

Back at the park, the police have arrived. Chun Li tells Ken and Ryu that she's tried calling the police department, but they've said Dorai was already on his way home. She's tried calling home, but she couldn't get through -the phone was completely quiet. Ken says the phone lines must have been cut.

Fei Long struggles to take on two opponents at once, but then Lo Yang gets beaten down.

Fei Long tells them they'll pay for that, and rips off his jacket. But before the fighting can resume, a limousine crashes down the doors. Ryu, Ken and Chun Li have arrived.

Chun Li asks where her father is, and Fei Long says he's inside. But he tells her to be careful, as some of the attackers may have gotten in. He tells her to make sure Dorai is alright, they can take care of these guys. As Chun Li rushes off, Ken thinks their opponents are kind of a creepy bunch. But Fei Long tells him not to underestimate them, as these guys know Muay Thai. Inside, Donu and his men have got Dorai cornered.

Chun Li then appears, and knocks one guy out by kicking him in the head. She tells her father not to worry about her, as she had the best teacher anyone could ever ask for. Back outside, Ryu and Ken struggle against the Muay Thai fighters.

Ryu says he's never seen fighters like these guys, and Ken says they're a lot tougher than those clowns they fought in the park. Ryu thinks they can stop them, and asks if Muay Thai has any defense against throwing techniques. Ken realizes these guys have got a balance problem, and manages to trip one guy up, slamming him into the ground. Ryu manages to slam another guy...

...whilst Ken finishes off his opponent. Fei Long takes out that last Muay Thai fighter with a throw. Inside, Dorai defeats the other Muay Thai fighter.

Donu gets thrown outside by Chun Li. He thinks this can't be, as she's just a little girl, but she tells him she's big enough to kick his sorry butt out of her house. He orders his men to take her captive, only to see that all of his men have been defeated.

He gets up and runs off. Fei Long is about to go after him, but Dorai tells him to let him go. He knows where their hideout is. He then thanks Ryu and Ken for everything they've done for them, and says they really saved them here. Ryu asks Dorai if he can explain this Muay Thai fighting technique, he'd like to know more about it.

Fei Long says he can tell him a little, and says Muay Thai is one of Thailand's most popular sports -for 500 years its been developed to perfection. The elbows and knees are used as weapons, and the kicks are very powerful. He thinks Ryu wants to learn it, and Ryu says it's a pretty good technique. Chun Li says they need to understand that Muay Thai is only for street fighters, both of them are refined martial artists. Ken says he's the refined martial artist, not Ryu. Ryu thinks they ought to go a few rounds to find out who's refined. As the two of they argue, they haven't seen the symbol on the front of Donu's truck:

Ryu is taken prisoner in Thailand, where he and Ken hope to learn Muay Thai in its purest form. Now Ken must find his friend, and the truth behind his disappearance under the shadow of the Ashura. Be here for the next exciting episode of Street Fighter II V: Trap Prison and the Scream of Truth - Proud Ryu. Gonna burn some muscle!
