"Much time has passed since the evil Destrons first threatened humanity. The Cybertrons began fighting them to protect the Earth, in a fierce war of destiny. The Destron's evil knew no limits, causing Ginrai and the Cybertrons under his command to erupt with heroic rage. The Destron's underwater base was destroyed, and the Cybertrons attacked the evil BlackZarak, who was encamped on the Matterhorn. And now, the time has finally come for BlackZarak and God Ginrai to face each other in a shodown that could claim both their lives..."

On top of the Matterhorn, God Ginrai stands before BlackZarak. Devil Z thinks he is foolish for facing him alone, but God Ginrai says he will risk his life to stop his goal of exterminating humanity. He takes a shot at him...

...which is blocked. Devil Z decides to leave, as BlackZarak transforms to scorpion mode. He can't waste any more time, and reveals that at the South Pole there is a machine called the "Devil Thunder amplifier" which he will use to destroy all human life on the Earth.

The amplifier has been completed, and the South Pole is where Devil Z intends to go now. God Ginrai is determined to stop him and uses his boosters to prevent him from leaving. Devil Z calls for Overlord, Hydra and Buster to assist him, as this is their last chance to prove their loyalty to him. Meanwhile Minerva fixes up Metalhawk's injuries, as Grand Maximus heads over to them. He says that there has been no contact from their Commander yet.

Shuuta says that if Ginrai contacts them, they will rush to the scene, but Metalhawk wants the other Cybertron Pretenders here also. Grand says that they are busy helping at the disaster areas across Europe, and he thinks they should wait for Ginrai to contact them. Back at the fight, God Ginrai is still stopping BlackZarak from going anywhere.

BlackZarak's stinger laser blasts God Ginrai, but he holds on to him and rips off some of his guns. Devil Z tries to blast him, but God Ginrai avoids the shot and grabs him from underneath. BlackZarak's legs close on God Ginrai, as Devil Z tries to use the stinger laser again, but God Ginrai smashes the legs and Devil Z ends up shooting himself.

God Ginrai rips off more of BlackZarak's guns, and then uses his boosters to make him crash into the mountain. Devil Z stops himself from falling any further...

...and then shoots at part of the mountain, causing it to break apart and fall all over God Ginrai. He fires a few more times to keep the avalanche going.

Elsewhere, Hydra and Buster get up. Buster thought they were dead, but his brother reminds him that they are no longer human, they are new lifeforms. They can't die so easily, but Buster says that they can't go back to being human either. Devil Z really tried to kill them, but Hydra says he merely punished them for being weak. All they can do to survive now is to fight.

The Cybertron Godmasters overhear them and jump down to where they are. They see that the two are beat up, but they refuse to surrender and start firing. Meanwhile, Clouder has gotten an assault buggy, as he, Cancer, Wilder and Bullhorn head to the Matterhorn. Bullhorn looks forward to kicking some butt, but Wilder says he'll make one thing clear: he still hasn't joined the Cybertrons.

Cancer says he understands -he understands that Wilder is having trouble expressing how he truly feels! Wilder tells him to stop mocking him, as Clouder speeds up. Back on the mountain, God Ginrai bursts out of the ice, and stomps on BlackZarak.

BlackZarak transforms to robot mode, and draws out one of his spears. Devil Z tells Ginrai that he will die, and uses a technique called "Devil Thunder Ring". Rings of energy are created by his spear, and are sent over to God Ginrai.

These rings trap the Cybertron Commander, and cause him a great amount of pain. Devil Z says he will turn God Ginrai into a new lifeform, just like he did to Hydra and Buster. The energy BlackZarak emits is picked up by Grand, and he can't contact Ginrai because of it. He decides to move in, and tells Metalhawk that he wants to check that their Commander is alright.

Grand arrives just in time, and shoots at BlackZarak. As he gets hit, he ends his attack, giving God Ginrai enough time to recover and use a Godcannon shot to blow him away.

God Ginrai then beats up BlackZarak, using so much force that he loses his head and crashes into the side of the mountain. Shuuta thinks the battle is over, but Grand says not to celebrate just yet.

They watch as BlackZarak's arms move -he is still alive! He transforms into a new, third mode, which is a two headed serpent. God Ginrai realises that he has not defeated his opponent yet.

Elsewhere, Giga and Mega talk to each other. Mega says she can no longer follow Devil Z, as he attacks his own comrades and she no longer knows what his true intentions are. Giga agrees, but does not want to throw his honor away. He is in debt to God Ginrai, so they know what they must do.

The battle between the Godmasters ends when the Cybertrons shoot down their Destron opponents. Hydra and Buster still refuse to surrender, and instead unite into their Darkwings mode and fly away.

BlackZarak's new form fires on God Ginrai, but then Overlord appears. Devil Z asks him to redeem himself by finishing off the Cybertron. Overlord aims his gun, and fires...

...at Devil Z! He tells God Ginrai he is repaying his debt to him, as BlackZarak recovers and tells him that he will now find out what happens to traitors. Sending out his Devil Power...

...Overlord is put into great pain, as Giga and Mega are forcibly removed from him. They land in the snow near God Ginrai.

BlackZarak shoots down both God Ginrai and Grand Maximus, as Overlord appears before them all again.

But Overlord is now purely a robotic being, without the human elements he used to have. BlackZarak fires on God Ginrai again, stopping him from getting up.

Ginrai is struggling, can he win this battle? The Headmaster Juniors sense his trouble, but then find things to get incredibly hot all of a sudden. But then their bodies flash, as they are transported...

...into Ginrai's transtector. With a new found strength, God Ginrai uses his Godpunch to knock BlackZarak back.

He goes to check on Giga and Mega, but Mega dies seconds later. Giga weakly says that his one regret is that he will never be able to settle his rivalry with Ginrai, before he also passes away. Their Master-braces disappear from their wrists.

Overlord runs towards God Ginrai, only for Grand Maximus to transform to robot mode and kick him down. He tells Overlord that he is his opponent, as BlackZarak commands his other Destrons to attack God Ginrai.

The rest of the Godmasters show up, and Lightfoot says to leave these guys to them. As they start to battle, God Ginrai tells Devil Z that not only has he killed innocent humans, but also faithful troops who fought alongside him. He'll never forgive him! Devil Z couldn't care less about his babbling, and finds it hilarious that a mere human is trying to lecture him.

God Ginrai uses his God Fire Guts technique, but BlackZarak is strong enough to be hit by the attack and not feel anything. Devil Z says that the one who resurrected the Godmasters as lifeforms was himself, and they are nothing but tools for him to use. So no matter how hard they try, they'll never defeat him.

God Ginrai says that Devil Z has made a big mistake: he has underestimated the possibilities of a human being's strength. Humans will not be defeated by the likes of him! Using more of his own power, God Ginrai uses his God Fire Guts again.

BlackZarak tries to shoot him down, but his lasers are not effective and God Ginrai goes right through him. BlackZarak's serpent heads are destroyed, and his body explodes seconds afterwards. Only Devil Z remains, and he asks if God Ginrai dares to anger him.

Not saying anything back, Ginrai combines his power with Shuuta, Cab and Minerva, and charges forward with a stronger version of his greatest technique: Final Fire Guts! Devil Z attempts to stop him, but even with his power, he cannot.

God Ginrai passes through Devil Z, and there is a massive explosion. God Ginrai has survived, but Devil Z has not. Overlord sees that their leader has been destroyed, and calls for a retreat.

God Ginrai lands, and the Godmasters start to move towards him, but suddenly everyone is out of their transtectors and armor. They realise that they no longer have their Master-braces on!

Road King points out that their transtectors are all standing nearby, and have become robot lifeforms. God Ginrai thanks the humans for everything they have done. Human Ginrai realises that now Devil Z is dead, they have been separated from their transtectors.

Overlord and the surviving Destrons leave the Earth and head into space. Overlord says that their battle is not yet over. Back on Earth, God Ginrai finds out that the Destrons have gone into outer space, so they must go after them. Grand Maximus says he must also return to space, and offers them all a lift. Human Ginrai asks God Ginrai to handle the duty of defeating the Destrons from here on.

God Ginrai says to leave it to him, but until next time, he says farewell. The former Destrons arrive, and Cancer says that they'll give the Destrons something to chew on -unaware that he and the others have just missed the final battle.

Grand Maximus takes off. Ginrai and the others have finally driven the Destrons off Earth, and their duties are thus complete. During his grueling fight with the Destrons, Ginrai was always supported by his companions who fought with him, the other living beings on the Earth, and the beauty of peace and nature.

NOTES

Whilst the instructions have no mention of it, it is possible to transform the BlackZarak toy into the serpent mode feature in this episode.

Overlord is seen leaving with Hydra, Buster and the Destron Headmaster Juniors. None of the Seacons or Destron Pretenders are shown leaving the Earth, and it is unclear what happens to them as they don't show up in the next series, Transformers Victory. King Poseidon does, however, make an appearance in Transformers Zone.

Doubleclouder is not seeing retreating into space with Overlord, and is not seen in Transformers Victory either.

Browning doesn't retreat with the Destrons, but it is likely he would have stayed with Cancer.
