Synopsis

Polnareff runs into a rest room, but the zombies break in. One of them manages to cut his tongue, which allows Enya's Stand, Justice, to take control of him. Jotaro comes down to the bar looking for Polnareff, and he encounters Enya. After she calls him by his name despite him never saying it, she realizes she's been tricked, and sets her zombies on him. Jotaro has Star Platinum start fighting them.

Jotaro manages to rescue Polnareff, and the two get outside. Joseph and Kakyoin also come under attack from the zombies, and they leave the hotel. As they go, Kakyoin sees Enya, who has transformed herself back to her older form. Not realizing that she's the Stand user, he helps her escape the hotel. The group get onto the roof of a nearby building, and see that Justice is a gigantic Stand, which looms over them.

The group attempt to fight it, and are given some surprising help from Avdol, who suddenly appears alive and well. Justice can't seem to be destroyed, but Jotaro tricks Enya into revealing that she's the Stand user. She jumps down and has a zombie baby bite Jotaro's leg. But before she can blow a hole in the wound, Jotaro says he'll defeat her before she can take another breath.

Jotaro has Star Platinum suck in Justice, and consumes the Stand entirely. Enya is defeated, and her zombies all fall down. Avdol explains why he's alive: when J. Geil attacked him, it jerked him back, resulting in the bullet hitting his head, but not giving him a fatal wound.

A flesh bud then bursts out of Enya's head. Joseph attempts to ask her about Dio's Stand, but she refuses to talk, and dies. As she does, the effects of her Stand vanish, and it is revealed that the town is actually some ruins. The group see Hol Horse is still alive, but decide to leave him since he needs to be hospitalized, and is no longer a threat to them. Joseph tells everyone to come on, as once they cross this desert, they'll be in Egypt!

Manga Differences

-In the manga, when Polnareff starts to run, Hol Horse asks Polnareff not to leave him, which Polnareff refuses. This isn't in the episode.

-In the manga, Enya throws a pair of scissors at Polnareff when he runs off. In the episode, one of the zombies throws a knife at him.

-When Jotaro heads towards the bathroom, the manga has Enya try to stab him in the back with the scissors, but he turns around, causing her to trip and nearly stab herself. This isn't in the episode.

-In the manga, Jotaro signs into the hotel with a fake name, which is what he uses to trick Enya. This isn't in the episode.

-The battle with Justice takes place inside the hotel in the manga, and on its roof in the episode.

-The major difference between the manga and this episode is that Avdol doesn't come back at this point in the manga. He won't return until later on, in a story the OVAs didn't adapt involving Cameo.

-Hol Horse tells Jotaro how Enya's Stand works in the manga.

-The scenes with Kakyoin and Joseph running out of their hotel rooms are not in the manga.

-Kakyoin doesn't help Enya in the manga.

-Kakyoin doesn't have his Stand try to attack Justice in the manga. Instead, Jotaro has Star Platinum try to punch it, to no avail.

-In the manga, Enya doesn't die at this point. The group decide to take her with them, so they can get information out of her regarding Dio's Stand. In the episode, this is changed so Joseph tries to ask her about Dio's Stand as the flesh bud is killing her.

-In the manga, Enya does die via the flesh bud, but it happens later on, caused by another Stand user called Steely Dan triggering it. This story is not adapted by the OVAs. In the episode, the flesh bud is triggered after her she is defeated by Jotaro.

-Hol Horse is alright in the manga -he steals the group's truck, and says he's sticking with Dio. He'd appear again later on in the manga, whilst in the OVAs, this is his final appearance.

-Between this OVA episode and the next one, several manga stories are skipped. In addition to Steely Dan, the OVAs also don't adapt the stories involving Stand users Arabia Fats, Mannish Boy, Cameo and Midler.

Notes

-This episode does not feature the usual pre-title card sequence. Instead, the episode begins immediately, briefly showing scenes between the opening credits.
