Alucard has a stake struck through his heart. There is another man standing over him. He asks this man if he has been bested. The man, Abraham Van Helsing, tells him that he has. His castles are crumbling, his servants destroyed and the girl that he wanted has fled this place.

She will never belong to him. Van Helsing raises his fist, then strikes down onto the stake, making Alucard bleed heavily and fly back.

Van Helsing tells Alucard that he has nothing and that he is nothing. Nothing! Suddenly Alucard wakes up and realizes that he had been dreaming...it was just a dream.

Inside the Hellsing HQ, a round table conference has been called. The people at this meeting are members of the Queen's government, and their topic of discussion is about the numerous vampire attacks in England. They are finding it difficult to keep quiet about this matter with the public, so they need to know what is going on. Integra presents them with a small chip, which she says is a transmitter. They've been finding these microchips in the vampires. They seem to relay information regarding the vampire's physical and mental state.

Someone is creating these vampires. And there is something different about them, as during the recent attacks, everybody drained of blood has become a ghoul. Traditionally if a vampire sucks the blood of a virgin, the virgin becomes a vampire. This is not happening, evident by the fact that young children who would never had had sex are still becoming ghouls. Also, if a vampire is destroyed, the ghouls under his command are also meant to perish. But recently an attack in Badrick resulted in Father Anderson destroying the vampire, but when Alucard and Seras got there, the ghouls were still around. The enemy they now face are vampire experts, who are highly skilled. Just like them.

Down in the basement, Seras isn't happy, and asks what this thing is in her room. Walter tells her it's a coffin. Seras says she know it's a coffin, but why is it here?! Walter says Integra didn't want to keep a vampire here who wasn't sleeping in a coffin. And he's disposed of her old bed. This really doesn't go down well with Seras, but he says that, if it helps, Alucard agreed with this as well. This shuts Seras up for the moment, as Walter reminds her that as she is refusing to drink blood at the moment, she will slowly become weaker. She must now sleep in a coffin filled with the soil of her birth place, as this is the only way she can keep up her strength. Is she still feeling uncomfortable with the situation? Seras says she is, just as Alucard walks in and calls her an idiot.

He reminds her that she chose the night, and once she turned her back on the light of day, all the sunlight should mean to her is smoldering pain and a slow death. Walter is glad Alucard is here as he has something to show him. Alucard opens a box and finds a new weapon inside of it, called the "Jackal". The Jackal is a powerful combat pistol which fires explosive blessed rounds, which are far more powerful that the rounds he's used to. Alucard is very pleased with his new gun, and he thinks that it could even stop Father Anderson dead in his tracks. Walter than tells Seras that he also has something special for her.

Revealing a massive cannon, Walter tells Seras that this is the "Harkonnen". It's a 30mm anti-freak cannon, which can use either depleted uranium shells or exploding incendiary shells. It should destroy all but the most heavily armored of targets.

"What the hell is that?!"

Outside the mansion, Luke Valentine and Jan Valentine make their way towards the front gate. Some soldiers see them and Luke states that they are here on a sight-seeing tour. One of the soldiers says this is private property, so could they please leave? The brothers comply, only for one of the soldiers to get a bullet in his head a second later.

The tour bus has a gun poked out of one of the windows, and soon many more guns appear. They open fire and kill the remaining soldier, whilst also destroying the gate. Jan yells at them to stop firing and they eventually do, but he isn't sure if they can really use them. Is Luke sure about this? Luke says that this is just a test, and that their master's plans have only just started. They're just the smallest of cogs in his great machine. Jan wants to have a little fun and has his forces deployed.

Out of the bus come many ghoul soldiers, some of which are carrying shields. Jan pulls out two big assault rifles and tells the ghouls that they know the plan: if they make the kill, they can drink the spill. And should they encounter Alucard or the Hellsing biatch, don't stop shooting until they're dead, dead, dead! A few moments later, Integra receives a call from her guards: they're under attack! External communication has been cut off and the unknown enemy has already entered the building.

The ghouls fire on any guards they find, and Hellsing's forces quickly get overwhelmed. Jan gets in on the act, and after killing several soldiers, he declares he feels so hard right now.

Luke seems to sense something and walks away from the rest of the group. Back in the conference room, the round table members discuss what they should do, but they then realize that their emergency helicopter has just been destroyed. An officer reports that they can't hold their control room position for much longer.

However he then screams and as Integra asks what's going on, Jan replies to her. He says this call is going out to the round table conference, especially to the Queen bitch herself, Ms. Hellsing. Their asses are currently being kicked by the Valentine brothers, and he, Jan Valentine, is looking forward to meeting them right after he and the boys finish their lunch. He thanks Integra for providing them with so many tasty snacks, and by this time tomorrow, Hellsing will be nothing more than a pile of shit. He wants to hear them cry and beg, but in the meantime he recommends that they piss themselves and praying to God. Or they could just kill themselves. Good night!

Integra says that the ghouls are coming for them, but then makes a call. Walter answers and says where he, Seras and Alucard are. He's kept up on the situation and says that their remaining forces have been instructed to guard the conference room with their lives. But they will split into two forces. He and Seras will proceed to the conference room. They can use the air ducts to reach it and avoid the ghouls, just as how Integra used the air ducts to reach Alucard's cell ten years a go. Integra tells him not to leave any of the monsters alive. Alucard asks if they'll see the "Angel of Death" ride again. Seras doesn't understand, but Alucard says she'll see soon enough. By adding the rookie with the veteran, Walter thinks they'll have one normal soldier. Alucard then vanishes.

Luke is heading down towards the basement. He looks at some of the artwork on the walls, only for several spears to suddenly burst out of one of the pictures and impale him. Some soldiers go in and see if he's dead...

...but he isn't, and moves so fast the soldiers can't even see him. Having removed his coat, Luke slices apart the soldiers who shoot at him, and asks them to be quiet.

After finishing off the soldiers, Luke then receives a call from his brother, who introduces himself as the commander of the undead army of Hellsing slayers. They've taken the first and second floors, all they have left to do is to take the third floor, crash the round table conference and then kick the shit out of a little girl and a bunch of old people. Luke tells him to stick to the plan, and that he thinks he's heading to the basement.

Integra says that the enemy has taken the first and second floors along with the roof, making escape impossible. This gets Sir Penwood to panic, and he yells at Integra to do something. Sir Irons tells him this isn't the time or place for such behavior, and that what Integra is saying is that they'll have to fend for themselves when the time comes. Sir Penwood thinks that they're all doomed, just as Seras knocks a panel of the ceiling and lands on him bottom first.

Walter then drops down and says that their forces have been destroyed. He doesn't know who trained these ghouls, but whoever did is a tactical genius. They new exactly how and where to hit them. But they aren't done for, and in his eyes, compared to what Van Helsing had to face a century a go, this barely registers as a crisis. Alucard will deal with any enemy below, whilst he and Seras will clear out the ghouls on their floor. And with her permission, he thinks it's time he gave these young people a proper lesson in violence. Meanwhile Jan has gone into Integra's room, and is enjoying some of her cigars. Although he think it's wrong how there are people starving in the world, yet she can afford to smoke these expensive things. It's time someone gave her a good old-fashioned ass kicking.

Luke knocks down a door and enters Alucard's chamber. He says he knows Alucard is in here, as even when he's hiding, he can fell his presence. Alucard says that he has no need to hide, he simply got bored waiting. Luke introduces himself and says that he's a really big fan of his work. Elsewhere Jan leads his troops towards the conference room.

As he gets closer, he sees Walter appear. Without a word, Walter reveals his weapon of choice: thin wires which, as he quickly proves, can cut through anything. Walter introduces himself and says that he is the butler to the Hellsing family, and a former master vampire hunter.

NOTES

This episode adapts a good chunk of the manga's second volume. However the episode's opening scene, showing Alucard dreaming about his previous defeat, isn't shown in the manga until later on. The scene where Luke gets impaled wasn't in the manga.

In the English dub, when Jan starts shooting up multiple Hellsing soldiers, he starts yelling "left, right, left right" and then says "death by Konami". This is a reference to the Konami code. The Japanese dub also has him reference the inputs for the code, but he doesn't explicitly mention Konami.
