This level starts with a formidable foe: a giant turtle. These turtles can breathe fire and also shoot spike projectiles from their shells, it's best to jump over them as they take quite a few hits with the whip to kill. Head right and try to avoid making contact with the purple skull clouds which spin around. You'll have to use a couple of floating platforms to head to make your way forward.

Head up to the right and you'll find a mace lying on the ground, collect this and you'll find some small spiders which are easy enough to kill with the whip. Keep going right to find more strange enemies, these flying spheres move slowly after you and are best avoided. Eventually you can either go up or down, you'll end up at the same place in the end.

If you head up, go right and there are some more weak enemies to kill, eventually you'll come across part of the floor which is covered with spikes, far too many to jump across. But you'll also see a spinning contraption. Jump into this and after a second or so, you'll be sent flying over the spikes, landing on the other side without issue.

Head up and right and you'll have to go through a corridor filled with spiky platforms, watch how they move and then run or jump past them. You'll then see a hook on the ceiling, hit this with the whip to fling up over another spike pit and land in another corridor. There are lots of spiders to kill here.

After that there is another pit with a turtle in it, it's easier to just jump over this enemy. Head right to find even more enemies, but it's quicker to just run past these, unless you desperately want more points. Keep going right and the boss of the level will drop down from above. He's an evil Priest.

The Priest has three attacks. He can summon two bolts of energy, which he'll direct to where you are, so be ready to move. After this attack, he'll create several giant swords and send them flying across the screen, either duck or jump to avoid taking any damage. You can hit him as he does the energy bolts, but after the swords are gone, he'll fly off the screen and then come back down, and will release some blue fireballs which do little damage. Try not to let him get too far from you and use the mace as much as possible to take him out.
