The trio have arrived outside the temple. Earnest asks if they're ready for this, to which both Zigfried and Annet nod. They all move into the temple.

The final level consists of three boss fights. Head right and the first boss will appear: a group of skulls which are surrounded by an aura of blue flames. The skulls will keep going in and out of the background, you can only hit them when they're at their largest. The skulls don't actually do anything, but they're protected by eyes which shoot lasers at you. It's difficult to avoid getting hit here, but the lasers do little damage, so concentrate on the boss.

When this boss started to explode, quickly run right and head up the steps. The skulls will vanish, revealing lots of eyeballs that will all fire at the same time, so you want to be out of there as soon as possible. Once you reach the top of the steps, go right and the second boss will appear: Ullrich, who is the leader of the Hastur Cult. He will float in place whilst meditating, and throughout this battle there will be projectiles raining down on you. Keep whipping Ullrich whilst trying to avoid the projectiles.

After he's taken enough damage, Ullrich will start summoning fireballs out of his hand and send them at you. Keep whipping him and once he's been hit enough times, he'll change form -it seems the power of the Necronomicon has turned him into a demon! He still attacks with fireballs, but now he'll send three out at a time. It's next to impossible to dodge all of these, but they don't do too much damage, so keep whipping and soon Ullrich will explode into nothing.

Ullrich is dead, but one evil remains: Hastur! The background will start to swirl and repeatedly flash, as the final boss appears. Hastur has two main attacks. His first is to try and ram into you, he'll make two passes whenever he attempts this. Duck the first pass and then jump over the second.

His other attack is a fireball, like most projectiles in this game it does little damage, so don't worry about getting hit by it. You want to be aiming for the God's head, just be careful not to get too close as making contact with the boss is an easy way to lose a lot of life quickly. Keep whipping whilst ducking and jumping when needed, and Hastur will soon have an explosive death, his body breaking away into pieces.

NOTES

It isn't actually stated anywhere that Ullrich is the penultimate boss, but I'm going to say it is since they look similar. Also, it would make sense that he dies here, since the Hastur Cult has a new leader called Henry in El Viento.
