World Series Baseball Starring Deion Sanders

Originally a Genesis game (called World Series Baseball '95), the 32X version features improved graphics (including more colors) and some other small changes, including a new feature where the camera zooms in onto a fielder as he catches the ball.

Other than that there doesn't seem to be much that makes the 32X version stand out above the Genesis version. I don't know a thing about baseball, so I couldn't tell you if this is any good or not. I can tell you that if you've already got the Genesis version, the 32X version isn't worth tracking down.

Info

The game has several game modes, but they all come down to picking a team and then facing off against another team. You'll get to pitch and bat over the course of a game.

When pitching you have a few options of what to do, such as throwing the ball fast. You also have several different options for batting.

Game modes include exhibition (choose whatever teams your want for a single game), league (take on many teams over the course of a season) and batting practice (try out batting in different ways).

Trivia

This game was only released in America.

The 32X version drops off the "'95" which was featured on the Genesis version's title, for reasons unknown. Some sites still have this version listed as "World Series Baseball '95", however.

Whilst the box features "Starring Deion Sanders" underneath the title, his name doesn't appear on the game's actual title screen.

This was the only World Series Baseball game released on the 32X, the Genesis would see several others and the series would continue onto other SEGA systems, such as the SEGA Saturn.
