Rihaku takes Yuria to Toki's village. Rihaku tells Toki that the person he has with him is the last Nanto General. Toki starts to heal Yuria with a technique that will put her to sleep. As he does it, Yuria thinks back...

The nuclear war had begun. Yuria, Kenshiro and Toki were all together as the missiles hit their targets, which caused widespread destruction. The three of them raced to the nearest shelter, heading down underground.

They get to the shelter only to discover that it is almost full, with most of the people in it being children. There was only room for 2 more people, so Toki quickly pushed Ken and Yuria inside and then shut the door. As he did this, he told Kenshiro to look after Yuria. Several days later, the shelter doors could be opened again and Ken found that Toki was still alive, having survived all of the fallout. However he had radiation poisoning, and his hair became a very light grey.

Back in the present, Toki says the treatment is finished. He asks the General why she wears a mask. Yuria says that until peace is returned to the world, she would rather stay like this. Toki tells her he'd expect no less from the person who Rei had met. He explains to her that he met Rei and that he gave him something to give to her, if he should ever meet her. He reveals some strands of Rei's hair and Yuria notices that it is white.

Toki tells her that Rei is now dead. He fought against Raoh to try and protect Kenshiro, but was defeated. Raoh hit a pressure point on him that gave him just three days to live. To counter it, Toki later hit another pressure point on Rei that would let him live for a few more days. Even though it might have killed him, Rei still let Toki do it and he survived the process. He later cut off some of his own hair and gave it to Toki, asking him to give it to the last Nanto General.

He told Toki that it was thanks to the last General that he met Kenshiro. After his sister had been taken away, he began to hate everything. But after meeting Kenshiro, he began to change back to how he used to be, and stop being a bloodthirsty wolf. He became human once more.

Outside, Toki says that the time for the last General's battle with Raoh is nearing. He also says that Souther will soon be defeated, as Kenshiro is currently part of the resistance who is fighting against him. Yuria returns to the Nanto capital where a large army consisting of her followers has been assembled. She notices that each soldier has a white bandage on their arm and asks why they are wearing them. Fudo explains that is is in honor of Kenshiro, who has saved a lot of innocent people over the years. The people see him as their savior.

Shuren and Hyuui then appear and have some terrible news: Souther has defeated Kenshiro! They warn that Souther's pyramid is heavily guarded, but that doesn't stop Yuria from going out on a rescue attempt. In the middle of the night, Kenshiro has been left in the desert, since Shiba sacrificed himself to keep him safe.

Three punks find his body in the sand and recognise him as the man who fought Souther and lost. They believe that if they take his head back to Souther, they will be rewarded with something like their own army to command. Before they can take his head, the leader of the group has his own removed when Rihaku slices it off with a sword. The other two run away as Yuria gets to Ken's body and is about to heal him, when she decides not to.

She says that she has sensed Raoh nearby and that he is coming to save Kenshiro. She tells the still unconscious Kenshiro that the path he walks in that of a savior, a path she should have walked with him on. But she had to cast everything aside to protect him. She puts her helmet back on as she and the Nanto Goshasei retreat.

(After Kenshiro recovered)

Yuria and her army wait at the top of a cliff, watching the second battle between Kenshiro and Souther. And of course Toki, Raoh and Raoh's army are all there also. Kenshiro has figured out Souther's secret -that his pressure points are reversed -and has managed to stop Souther from using his Nanto Ho'oh Ken style. Or so he thinks...

SHIKANU!

(I won't retreat!)

KOBINU!

(I won't stop!)

KAERIMINU!

(I'll never surrender!)

Souther says he is still the Holy Emperor and flips forward to use his arms to propel his body into the air. He heads towards Kenshiro again, but before he can do anything he gets hit with many punches, and then one more attack finishes the fight.

HOKUTO UJOU MOSHO HA

(North Star Humane Fierce Flying Rip)

After recovering from Kenshiro's attack, Souther says he refuses to die by Hokuto Shinken and instead stabs into his own chest. He tells Kenshiro that he was glad he was his final opponent, and he then dies. Kenshiro turns around and heads back down towards the bottom of the pyramid.

As he is doing that, Tobi is also on his way down. Raoh tells his brother that by defeating Souther here today, Kenshiro has become the savior of the people who had been made to suffer by the Holy Emperor. He will let Kenshiro's reputation grow a little more, but after he defeats him everyone will see Ken-Oh as their savior instead. Raoh shouts down to Kenshiro, telling him that their fight has only just begun.

Tobi then reaches Kenshiro. Ken recognises the dog and notices the necklace he is wearing, which breaks off. Ken catches it and sees that it has the big dipper on it. Everyone then sees that there is another army on a cliff nearby.

There is then what I'd say is the single stupidest scene in all of the Hokuto no Ken series up to this point. So after Tobi loses his necklace, he runs back off and heads up a hill, but it is clear that he is tired. His age is finally getting to him. But before he can die, Yuria decides that she has realised that Tobi was also a star: the star of fidelity. Tobi was the one who managed to bring Yuria and Kenshiro. Yuria says that she and Tobi have also always been linked by the heavens. This scene is taken so seriously it is laughable and Rihaku even calls Tobi "Dog of Destiny" at one point. Stupid. Stuuuuuupid. You don't even get to see Tobi keel over either, he just stumbles out of shot, never to be seen again.

After that pointless scene, Rihaku asks Yuria about the upcoming battle between Kenshiro and Raoh. She says that she knows that battle will happen soon, but even she cannot see who the winner of it is. But it is her destiny to find out.

As Yuria looks at Kenshiro and he looks back at her, the movie ends.
