Kenshiro, Bat and Lin have been following some of Shin's men and come across the remains of a campfire. Bat thinks that it was stupid of them to leave such evidence behind, but Ken then says that they probably did leave it on purpose and he seems to know that something is up. This proves to be correct when the next thing we see is a view through the scope of a sniper rifle! Three guys with guns are above the trio, and take aim.

However Kenshiro is ready for them. The snipers fire, and instead of the usual bullets you'd find in most sniper rifles, their weapons fire knives at Ken. But Ken is ready and waiting with his nunchaku and deflects the knives so they all head into each of the snipers, killing them all. Their bodies fall off the cliffs.

Meanwhile, in Southern Cross, some ugly purple haired man is using a whip to punish a citizen of the city who has been bad. He has been bad, because, according to Barcom, this fellow has opposed the rule of Shin.

Saki runs forward and begs that the man, who is her brother, be released as he didn't do anything, or at least let him go and punish her. Barcom says her affection for her brother is admirable, but he still has to have anyone who goes against Shin punished. Yuria arrives and asks Barcom to release Temjina and Saki but he refuses, stating that he must obey Shin's laws. The whip wielding man is pleased as he likes the screams of girls, and is about to take another crack at them when someone grabs the end of his whip.

The torturer goes to punch whoever grabbed his weapon, only for his strike to be blocked: Shin has arrived. He crushes the man's hand and then stabs right through his chest, ignoring his cry for forgiveness. As two women clean his hands, he starts to ask Barcom who authorized this action.

Barcom tries to explain that he is carrying out Shin's own laws, but he then gets kicked in the head. Shin reminds him that he is the law here. He then tells Yuria that whilst he said she could go anywhere in Southern Cross, she shouldn't be in a place like this. Yuria asks for Temjina and Saki to be freed, so he allows this to happen. He then tells Barcom to get up and follow him as he leaves.

Meanwhile Ken and friends out following the tyre tracks of some of Shin's men to see where they go when Ken senses that a sand storm is approaching and they need to head up into the mountains to take cover. Bat reluctantly agrees to this, although he is mad because they will lose the tracks. They head up to the mountains regardless and Ken tells Bat and Lin that they need to return to the town where Jennifer is, as the journey on from the point will be too dangerous. Meanwhile, double trouble is on the way. Garekki and his army advance to destroy Ken, along with...

...Mahari and his army, who happen to be in helicopters. Back in Southern Cross, Saki is seeing to her brother's wounds when she starts to talk about Kenshiro. Temjina says that he has heard about this man who keeps beating Shin's forces by himself, but Yuria says that he will never find this city as it was built in secret. Temjina says that Kenshiro has enough power to defeat Shin and set all the people here free, and makes it his mission to go and find him and bring him to Southern Cross.

To do this, he uses a motorbike to quickly get through the sewers of Southern Cross. As he exits the sewers he gets past a patrol who are armed with knife shooting guns. Meanwhile, at Jina city, the sandstorm clears and Jennifer and another guy are doing guard duty when they see a lot of smoke heading towards them. It is Garekki and his gang of thugs, who have reached the outer wall of the city.

Garekki demands that Kenshiro is sent out to them, but the villagers respond that he isn't there. Garekki doesn't believe them and is about to attack when his pocket watch starts to beep: food time! He tells everyone that he and his men will attack the city in three hours, after he has eaten. One of his men makes the mistake of questioning this decision, and is split in half for doing so -the Garekki family never misses meal times.

Jennifer and her guard duty buddy head out of the city on bikes, but some of Garekki's men are instantly upon them. The front wheel of Jennifer's bike is destroyed, but she leaps over to her buddy's bike and hitches a ride.

Her own vehicle spins out of control and causes a big pile-up with all of Garekki's men who were tailing them. Garekki is informed about this, but he doesn't even care and says to leave them. He's busy eating after all. Meanwhile, Bat's car has broken down, but Ken's attention is soon turned to a voice shouting him. He turns and sees Jennifer heading his way.

Garekki has finished eating and then shows his absolutely bizarre method of attack. He has several cannons lined up which are aimed at the city. A guy in a balloon shouts co-ordinates that the gunners of the cannons set. The cannons then fire but instead of firing shells, these fire people. People with swords! People with swords who enter the city.

NANTO NINGEN HOUDAN

(South Star Human Cannonball)

Kenshiro is heading back to Jina village on a bike when Mahari and his Blackbird army arrive in their copters. They fly over Ken and start dropping bombs all over the place, as Ken narrowly avoids being blown to pieces.

Ken has to ditch the bike when the helicopters start firing lots of spears at him. Getting back up, Ken grabs a few spears and throws them back at his attackers, damaging some of them badly enough that they lose control and end up crashing into each other.

Ken then jumps up and presses one of Mahari's pressure points which makes him do what he wants. He then has Mahari fly right back into his own fleet, and as they attempt to dodge him the majority of them all crash and Kenshiro destroys any survivors with spears. He then gets Mahari fly towards Jina village, but when he sees that some other guy is outside with a lot of cannons, he leaps off. Mahari dies when he ploughs his helicopter straight into the ground.

Meanwhile Temjina had left Southern Cross far behind, but a group of men are after him. They keep shooting knives, one of which plunges into his back, but he manages to keep going and eventually loses the guys after him by making a risky jump over a canyon.

Garekki's men use the Nanto Ningen Houdan and charge towards Kenshiro from the air, but he uses whatever the Hokuto Shinken equivalent of quarter circle backwards plus kick is and starts to slaughter large numbers of his enemies.

With the enemy distracted, Bat and company arrive to free all of the captured villagers. Garekki decides that he will have to just finish Kenshiro off himself and after drawing his sword, he has himself shot out of one of the cannons, straight at Ken. He says he was the one who invented the South Star Human Cannonball and nobody can do it as well as him.

NANTO NINGEN HOUDAN / HOKUTO KOKU ZAN

(South Star Human Cannonball / North Star Sky Slash)

When Garekki lands, he cannot move! Reaching levels of complete patheticness, he reveals that he has sent a couple of kids up into the air via a balloon. He asks Kenshiro what he is going to do about that and a few seconds later Ken shows him by shoving him into one of the cannons.

The cannon fires and he goes straight for the balloon, which begins to descend, and after that he hits the ground and explodes. As everyone begins to celebrate, the party stops when a heavily-injured Temjina arrives and falls into Ken's arms.

Temjina tells Kenshiro that Yuria still lives and he must go and save her along with his little sister, Saki. He then tells him that Southern Cross is located next to the green land in the "eye of the devil". He then dies as everyone has surrounded him. In Southern Cross, Joker reports to Shin that both Garekki and Mahari have been killed and their forces destroyed by Kenshiro. He also says that someone escaped from Southern Cross earlier, but they are now dead.

Yuria is in the room when Joker makes this report and so is Saki, and as they both begin to cry we then get to see when Southern Cross is located: it is indeed in an "eye". Now with a better idea of where the city is, Kenshiro swears that he will kill Shin!
