In August 2012, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was announced. And a lot of fans weren't happy. The reason why is because the original version of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 had only been out for about 6 months, and now there was a new version coming. Perhaps worst of all was that Capcom's reasoning for bringing out this update was not consistent: Ryota Niitsuma of Capcom of Japan stated that it was because of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami disrupting the original game's DLC schedule. But then Seth Killian of Capcom of America stated a completely different reason for why the game came out so early.

Anyway, Final Fight wise, there isn't really much new with this game. Haggar's back and has all of his moves from the previous version, along with some changes. His crouching heavy attack will knock the opponent over and his rapid fist super has had some invincibility frames added when the move starts. The Metro City stage also returns.

The only Final Fight related addition is Haggar's DLC costume. This DLC gives Haggar the outfit he wore in Final Fight 3, and also gives his hair style a change. Haggar has all of the same moves as in the previous game, but his ending is very slightly different -for some reason minor edits were made to some text, you can see the ending below.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is available on Playstation 3, Playstation Vita and Xbox 360. The DLC for these versions is no longer available. However, in 2016 the game was released for the Playstation 4, and was followed by versions for the PC and Xbox One in 2017. These three versions include all of the DLC content, including Haggar's alt costume.
