Kyle will head to the pier district. But this district has been heavily damaged and has been taken over by glow. In addition to the usual punks, there are also lots of glow using guys around. Either fight them or just run towards the lighthouse. From where you start, move forward and go past the trains. The lighthouse isn't that far away and is towards the left. Much of the district is blocked off, so you can't really miss it.

Guy will be waiting, just walk up to him and he'll tell Kyle that they need to go to the factory. Turn around and head away from the lighthouse. Some gang members will appear, but Guy will help you fight them.

The factory is beyond the train tracks, and is right at the back of the district. As you arrive at the door, some glows will drop down from above, take them out and then enter the factory via the small door.

Inside the factory there are more goons to fight, including some big guys who attack with knives. When you defeat the first group, some reinforcements will run out from a elevator. Guy will continue to help you, but watch out for the machinery either side of the room -boxes will keep being launched out of them. Whilst they can hurt your enemies, they can also hurt you.

After the reinforcements have been defeated, Guy tells Kyle it would be wise if they split up. He tells Kyle to take the elevator. When the cutscene ends, check the room for any items and then head into the elevator. To use it you'll have to complete another light button puzzle.

When the elevator stops, you'll be in a large room with several containers in it -as Kyle realizes that there is enough glow here for half the country! As soon as you take a few steps into this room a ton of enemies will appear, but there is a large gun you can use. This gun is in the middle of the room and has infinite ammo. Due to the overwhelming amount of enemies in this section you'll most likely end up being punched off the gun, so stick to the traditional methods of fighting.

There are a lot of enemies to fight, but several of them will be carrying baseball bats which you can take and then use against them. Once all of the enemies have been defeated, Kyle will notice a green light in a corner of the room. Use the gun to destroy the boxes, and then go to the green light. There is a ventilation shaft you can enter. Before you do this, use the gun to destroy all of the boxes in the room, as doing so will reveal lots of items to take.

Kyle lands in a laboratory. He sees a single scientist in the room, and asks who she is. She ignores him, so he tells her not to turn her back on him. She says that her name is Dr. Chang, and she'll turn her back on whoever she pleases.

Dr. Chang? THIS is the "mastermind" behind glow?! Shit, man. Evil never looked this good. So much fer judgin' a book by its cover...

Kyle says Cody is all messed up because of her, and he wants to know how they go about detoxing glow. She isn't concerned and says she has more pressing things to attend to, but Kyle tells her to put down the scalpel and tell him how he can save his brother. Chang tells him that his brother isn't the only victim here. She didn't want to be responsible for the mess which has been created in Metro City now. Bella was the one who forced her to create this drug.

Kyle tells her that he'll deal with that lunatic later, but right now, she's going to help him with Cody. Chang says that she may be able to reverse the process, but before she can go into any more detail, Kyle gets a call from Guy. Guy says the charges are set -he'd best get out of there. Kyle yells that Guy never mentioned anything about charges before, and as he talks, he doesn't notice that Chang has walked off. By the time the call ends, she's used a small elevator platform to escape.

As Chang leaves, Kyle doesn't get the chance to follow her. The experiment Chang was working on suddenly comes to life: a glow-powered up version of Stiff! Stiff Death is much stronger and bigger than before. If he suddenly crouches, try to take cover behind one of the tables as he'll release several spike projectiles everywhere.

Stiff Death can knock you down with minimal effort, but you've got no choice other than to get in close and land some combos. Try using your instinct meter up whilst performing them for some extra damage. Also try to lure Stiff towards the tables, as when he attacks he can destroy them, and there are items hidden inside some of them. If you see any guns, don't use them just yet. Wait until Stiff Death's health gets low. When this happens, he will smash apart some of the machinery around the lab. When he does this, some rats will appear and start scampering around the floor. Stiff Death will go after them, and when he grabs one, he'll eat it to regain his health.

When Stiff Death eats, he'll stand still. This is the time you'll want to use any guns you can find. You can attack him with your fists, but sometimes you'll be blasted back due to the electric current flowing from Stiff Death's body. Stiff Death will also use an attack where he jumps up to the lab's ceiling -seconds later, he'll throw lots of spike projectiles at you, just keep running to avoid being hit. Another attack he has is where he'll try to just charge into you -quickly move to the left or right to avoid this.

This can be an annoyingly long battle due to Stiff Death being able to restore his own vitality, but keep getting him to wreck the lab so you can get items, and use guns whenever he's recharging. When Stiff Death has finally been defeated, he'll freeze up...

...and then crumble apart. Kyle runs for his life, managing to get outside of the factory just seconds before it explodes. Guy appears and Kyle asks him if he saw Dr. Chang. Guy says he didn't see anyone, but he wants to get Kyle to a hospital.

Kyle says he isn't quitting now, and wants to find Dr. Chang. But after walking a short distance, he collapses! Guy takes him to Haggar's place. Dr. Chang also arrives there, and heals Kyle's injuries. As she does this, Haggar tells Guy that Chang will die before she tells them anything about Bella.

Guy thinks he can get her to talk and pulls out a gun, but Haggar says that that isn't the way they're going to do this. Kyle tells them both to back off, as he thinks the doc can help them. Chang says she doesn't see why she should, and thinks the three of them are no better than Bella. Kyle asks her again about reversing glow's effects. She tells him glow is like any other drug. The effects can wear off, but the dementia it causes only gets worse in withdrawal.

Chang is then interrupted by a news report, showing another part of Metro City under attack from glowed-up people. Kyle reacts in horror as he realizes the footage shown is in his own hood! He says he's got to go there and find Vanessa. Chang also wants to leave, but Haggar isn't sure that's a good idea. She claims that she wants to help people, and Kyle says she can go.

When gameplay resumes, Kyle will be in the hood. And it has been totally overrun by glow freaks. You need to get to Barfly, so start running through the streets. You can simply not fight many enemies here, but instead run past them. Eventually the route you want to take will be blocked off due to a falling girder.

When this happens, you need to keep defeating enemies until a couple of punks crash through a wall, opening up a new way out. Go down this new route and eventually you'll be in another street. You'll also see a crashed ambulance with a fire extinguisher next to it. Pick the extinguisher up as you'll need it so put out some fires. There are several fires blocking the path you need to take, so fight the enemies, put the fires out and move on.

After putting out enough fires you'll arrive in a more open area. The objective here is to keep beating up enemies until you've cleared them all our of this small area. Some of them are more challenging than others, including large guys with knives and big men who have a lunging roll attack which is very quick. After you've beaten enough people, you have to roll a crashed ambulance out of the way. To do this, move up to the ambulance (an arrow will point it out) and keep pressing the button which is displayed on screen.

Move past the ambulance and you'll arrive at Barfly, but the place has been totally trashed! There is a fire outside the front door, put it out and smash apart the wreckage. Kyle will find Vanessa, but she's unconscious. As more glow freaks move in, help arrives for Kyle as 2-Ill drives through a wall in his car. His car is wrecked, but 2-Ill is fine, and starts shooting at the bad guys.

Vanessa wakes up and says she's fine. 2-Ill throws Kyle a pistol, and they've now got to get out of here. Unfortunately 2-Ill and Vanessa share a life bar, and they can't take many hits. Even worse, whilst 2-Ill uses a gun and his fists, Vanessa doesn't fight at all. You need to get back to 2-Ill's place, but there are more glowed-up guys then ever. The best thing to do here is not get caught up fighting every enemy -just run and only deal with the ones who threaten your friends. 2-Ill and Vanessa usually go a pretty good job of staying near you, so just move quickly.

There is one point to look out for though: another ambulance that needs pushing over. Before you attempt to do this, make sure to clear out all enemies first. After the ambulance has been rolled out of the way, 2-Ill's home isn't that far away, but many enemies will drop in. You'll have to defeat them all before you can enter it. Once everyone has been cleared out, go up to the door and go inside.

As 2-Ill patches up Vanessa, Vanessa says she wants to go with Kyle to confront Bella. Kyle says no way, and that he and 2-Ill can handle it. But 2-Ill says he's not going, as this isn't his fight. Vanessa tells 2P that that won't slide. 2-Ill reminds her that his name is 2-Ill. The whole "2P" thing was a long time a go. And if Kyle wants to go and get himself killed, then that's his business.

But 2-Ill does have some advice: Kyle should stick to the sewers. He used to run around them a lot back in his Mad Gear days, and knows that he can get to Little Italy through them. Vanessa is about to tell Kyle something, but Kyle tells her to wait -she can tell him when he gets back. Kyle is soon on his way to Little Italy via the sewers.
