The Amiga version of Final Fight was released in 1991. This version was developed by U.S. Gold, a company known for releasing not very good arcade conversions to various computers. Final Fight is no exception to this rule. Whilst it features most of the levels, characters and the 2 player mode, the game is incredibly clunky and sluggish.

The animation has also been cut down, making things look severely choppy. The elevator stage from the Industrial Area level has been cut, and some of the boss fights are far easier. For example, Bay Area's boss consists of facing Abigail and an Andore twice, with neither enemy having that much health. The fight against Belger (called just "Boss" in this version) is also completely different, as he never leaves his chair. The ending sequence is now just a single screen of text, stating that Metro City is safe and the main characters go back to their normal lives. There is also no music, apart from a new tune that plays during the intro.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this version is a hidden message from Richard Aplin, a programmer who worked for U.S. Gold. During the intro sequence, when Haggar turns on his TV, just press the help key. The message from Richard will start to play, and the game's cheat mode will be activated.
